The Purrfect Pets
You may have already heard about the world famous band: One Direction, but I bet you haven’t heard of their cats. Each member of the boy band has an amicable pet cat. Harry’s cat is Talma, Liam’s cat is Phia, Louis’ cat is Marcelle, and Niall’s cat is Edmonson or Eddy for short. One Direction’s best friends were their cats. Singing was their passion; like owner, like pet. Little did they know, all their cats could speak English, and were friends with each other as well.
One day, the cats saw how successful their owner’s band was and the cats realized they wanted to be just as successful. In the cat world it was difficult to get successful, but success was met by the cats.
“Why can’t it just be easy like our owners?” said Edmonson.
“It will be easy we just need a name and some song ideas.” replied Phia.
“I have an idea!” exclaimed Marcelle.
“What is it?!” replied the rest of the cats excitedly.
Marcelle explained his plan, “Since our owners have such great ideas and are already successful; why don’t we just take a few of their ideas?”
“Okay, but now we need a name.” said Talma.
“How about Da Catz?” suggested Eddy.
“Purrrfect!” responded the rest of the cats.
The next day, while in one of their owners meetings, the cats listened intensely to the band’s ideas. They heard the boys talking about a song that went, “Baby you light up my world…” Once Da Catz heard the chorus, they knew it was purrfect for their first single! They quickly scurried out of the room and made up a game plan. They would meet with their producer first thing in the morning and pitch him their “original” song. The plan was foolproof!
“Kitten, you light up my world like no other cat…” sang the cats.
“That is genius! Here are some papers to sign and this song will be on the top of the cat charts in no time!” exclaimed their producer after listening to the song. “YAAYYY!” the cats celebrated, but felt guilty knowing this was not their song. Although they felt guilty, the cats thanked their producer for helping them get famous. Da Catz immediately began practicing for their first shows. The cats love practicing. It made them as good as their owners!
2 WEEKS LATER
“Our single is number one!” exclaimed the cats. Their success was like a skyrocket! The music was loved by the cat fans around the world. They had to settle down quickly though because their owners had just walked into the room to get them for their afternoon walk. Their afternoon walk turned more into a play-date in the park. While playing with their owners, the cats started to feel more and more guilt due to how much their owners loved and cared for them. The cats were upset. All they had done in return was steal their ideas. They didn’t want to hurt them. Even though they loved them so much, they were still desperate for fame!
A few weeks later, the cats were in another meeting with the boys. “What are we supposed to do if we all have writers block and we have to turn in one song by tomorrow?” said Harry.
“Oh no! How are they supposed to turn in our song tomorrow if they have writers block?” whispered Eddy.
“Hey, did you hear that?” asked Niall.
“Yea, I did. It sounded like it came from our cats…” said a confused Louis.
“Oh no! What are we going to do now? They heard us talking!” said a worried Phia.
“Wait! That was our cats! I just heard them again!” exclaimed Harry.
“I guess we better tell them…” said Marcelle nervously.
“Harry, Niall, Louis, Liam, as you can tell, we can speak english.” explained all the cats nervous for how they would respond.
“WHAT?! NO WAY!” said One Direction. The boys sat for a minute gaping.
“We’re sorry we never told you. We were just worried you wouldn’t want us anymore.” said Talma sadly.
“No way! This is awesome. Let’s go get some ice cream.” said Niall.
“Awesome idea!” replied everyone else.
Once they got back from ice cream, the cats immediately went to their room and checked how their album was doing on the cat charts. They soon found out it had dropped 5 spots to number ten! The cats were infuriated. They began hissing at each other. The boys over heard the cats hissing and decided to see what was up.
“Y’all are in a band?” The boys asked.
“Ummmmm yea” replied the cats.
“Cool can we hear a song?” asked the boys.
“We aren’t so sure that’s a good idea…” the cats said.
“Sure it is!” The boys said as Louis reached over and played their song that was on the screen. The song began to play, “Kitten, you light up my world like no other cat…”
