Mother like Daughter
It was a normal day at the office, and Hotch had just introduced a new case. The team was sitting around the table but they were missing one. As Garcia was pulling up the pictures on the big screen, Callie walked in. “Sorry I am late. I was having to call my mom”.
“It’s ok Callie, just come on in and sit down with the team. Now where were we?” Hotchner said. The team had just gotten a new case today about this serial killer, “The Silencer”, that was going after the Jeffersonian employees. “The Silencer” would kill by stabbing the victim with a knife, then take out their tongue. Garcia chimed in “and the pictures are coming up on your screen now. We can tell “The Silencer” is ambidextrous by the way he/she make the cuts on the body. The body was stone cold and had been decapitated just like an animal that was hit by a car. When Callie saw the first picture that popped up, she immediately gaped and said
“Oh my, that’s Dr. Saroyan. I know her, she’s my mom’s boss”. Hotchner walked over to her and grabbed her hand
“Callie It’s going to be all right. Why don't you go call your mom and tell her that you will be coming to Washington and that you want to meet her, after all she might be in jeopardy. JJ will go with you”.Callie’s arm was grabbed by JJ and they both walked out of the room.
After Hotch finished debriefing the team , they all headed out to go get on the private plane. Once the team had made it onto the plane, Hotch walked over to Callie and sat down. He grabbed her hand and kissed it just like he did the first time they met.
“Callie, everything is going to be ok, we are going to stop this guy, but I need you to promise me that you will do your job”. Callie looked Hotch in the eyes and then looked at her hand
“Yes Aaron I promise I will do my job”.
The plane landed after a short 30 minute ride. Once the team had disembarked and unpacked they headed over to the FBI headquarters. When Hotch’s team walked in the door they were greeted by this tall handsome fellow. He had eyes as blue as the sea.
“You must be Hotch from the Bureau” the fellow said.
“Yes I am and this is my team, Dr. Spencer Reid, Jennifer Jareau, Derek Morgan, Penelope Garcia, and Callie Brennan. And you are?” The tall fellow looked at Callie then back at Hotch and said,
“Welcome everyone I am Special Agent Booth, come on in”. After the team got the new info on “The Silencer” ,they headed over to the Jeffersonian.
Once the team arrived ,Derek and Callie went over to talk with the head Anthropologist.
“So Callie I hear this is a hard case for you to take on” Derek said.
“Yes it is Derek, thanks for reminding me of that. You're about to figure out why.” Callie spoke up. Derek and Callie walked into the bone room where there was a tall, dark haired women standing over a bunch of bones. Callie turned and looked at Derek and said “watch this”. Callie walked over to the lady and gave her a big hug. The Anthropologist then turned around and walked toward Derek. “Derek meet my mother, that I recently found out that I had, Dr. Temperance Brennan”.
