WRONG CHOICE.
This drama talk about a young beautiful woman who lost everything, just because of her choices. Her name is Matshidiso, staying with her parents(John and Joyce Hadebe) , her daughter (Karabo) and Grandmother(Patricia), her best friend is Thandeka.
Thandeka: Calling her friend.....
Matshidiso: Hello Friend..
Thandeka: Let's go out tonight, and have some fun.
Matshidiso: I can't, you know the is a lockdown, and my parents are very strict.
Thandeka: Don't tell them, and besides will we be back before they wake up.
Matshidiso: Friend i really don't know, with this Covid-19 killing people left and right, not that simple.
Thandeka: Please don't make me go all out alone, i just want us to have some fun.
Matshidiso: Ok, let's just hope i won't regret this.
Thandeka: No, you won't. I will be there just after 10pm.
Matshidiso: Ok.
Matshidiso manage to snick out of the house, and leave her Daughter all alone in bed. They went out to attend a friend party, just 10 minutes drive from their home .
Thandeka: Everything will be fine, stop worrying. Referring to Matshidiso....
Matshidiso: I'm not worried, just make sure we arrive home in time.
They party until early in the morning, and they really had a great time. Somehow Matshidiso even thank her friend for taking such a risk, saying that they deserve it after all. Matshidiso manage to snick in to her room, and went straight to bed.
Early in the morning at the Hadebe home......
Joyce: "John, can you please check on Matshidiso, it's after 11am, and she's still not up.
John: I think she's not at her room, that's not her sleeping by this time.
Joyce: Your right, that's not like her.
John: Ohhh, here she is. Morning Baby...
Matshidiso: Morning Dad, where is everyone ..?
John: Check them by the kitchen.
That day Matshidiso spend the whole day in bed 🛏, complaining of headache, she try to call Thandeka but her phone was on voice mail. After 2 weeks, Matshidiso complain of fever, Cough and headache. Then she went to the Doctor, and was given biotics with her blood taken for Covid-19 test, she was even advised to isolate. Matshidiso arrived home...
Matshidiso: I am back.... Referring to her family, as they were watching TV.
Joyce: What the Doctor said....?
Matshidiso: It's just a flu, and give me some meds. I will be in my room....
John: Ok, Baby.
Joyce: I don't think she's fine.
John: Let's give her some space, maybe she will be fine.
Patricia: I agree with you, she's not fine.
After a few days Matshidiso got a call from the Doctor.
Matshidiso: Hello
Doctor: May i speak with Matshidiso's, please.
Matshidiso: It's me, Matshidiso.
Doctor: Your results are back, and i am really sorry. U have Covid-19
Matshidiso: Keep quiet for a while, then ask the Doctor, what's next...?
Doctor: The is nothing much we can do, the rest it's up to you. You need to lock urself alone for 14 days, washing ur hands with soap for almost 20 seconds, and regularly. We will then do another test, to find out if the virus is still on you or not.
Matshidiso: Thank you, Doctor.
Doctor: Remember your not alone, will be in touch.
Matshidiso finally manage to find her friend, Thandeka.
Matshidiso: Hy, i have been trying to call you, what's wrong with you....?
Thandeka: Nothing, my family just locked me in, and not allowed to go out.
Matshidiso: I thought something happen to you, but I'm glad that your fine.
Thandeka: Thank you so much, and what about you, how's things at home...?
Matshidiso: Everything it's fine at home, but i am not. I just tested positive for Covid-19, and i suggest you must go tested as well.
Thandeka: I'm so sorry, but i am fine. I have to go friend, my Mom she's calling me. Bye....
Thandeka hang up the phone before Matshidiso even say gudbye , that was the last time she heard her voice.
Unfortunately things became worse for Matshidiso, as she end up infecting her family. All of them, including Karabo end up in ICU. A difficult time for Matshidiso, as she's all alone.
After 2 weeks her grandmother passed away, with the support from neighbors she manage to send a warm farewell to her, but her friend wasn't there.
A neighbor who just come back for a funeral comfort her, he introduce himself as Bongani.
Bongani: I am really sorry for your loss .
Matshidiso: Thank you for your support, i wouldn't have done it alone. She just started crying 😢..
Bongani: It's ohk, not related doesn't mean that we're not family.
Matshidiso: To tell you the truth I'm so heartbroken 💔, a friend of mine didn't even attend my Grandmother funeral, but you did, and i don't even know you.
Bongani: Maybe you don't know me, but your Granny raise me. Just let your friend go, she's not the person you can trust.
Matshidiso: Thank you so much for your support,.. Before she even finished, her phone 📱 ring and it's something that she wasn't expected. It was a call from hospital, her Mother just passed away.
Matshidiso: Crying 😢 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Bongani: What is it........?.Matshidiso then collapsed and was rushed to hospital, that's where Bongani find out about her mother passing.
After few hours in hospital, Matshidiso wakes up.
Bongani: Hy
Matshidiso: Hello, where am i..?
Bongani: Ur in hospital, you collapsed and i rush you here.
Matshidiso: Thank you so much.
Bongani: Just don't thank me yet, your mother passed away, and that's why you are here.
Matshidiso: I remember the Doctor telling me, just that i feel like I'm killing them. I give them the virus 😢 😢
Bongani: Don't blame yourself for that, we can't change the fact that it happen. Now it's time to arrange a funeral.
Bongani help her until the end, even though it was very hard to accept the situation. Like before, Thandeka didn't pitch but everything went well. After a funeral Bongani arrange a prayer 🙏 ceremony for Matshidiso, her Father and Daughter who were both still in hospital fighting Covid-19, the turn out was amazing and people pray the whole night. Since that day Matshidiso never stop praying, and finally her prayers were answered. After weeks of praying her family 👪 comes out from hospital, she explain everything and apologize to them. She couldn't stop crying, and thanking Bongani for what he did. After few months Matshidiso and Bongani became one family, and happily ever.
The message it's clear, don't wait until you lose someone bcs you may not be as lucky as Matshidiso. COVID-19 kills, stay indoors and be safe.
