Escaping the Ceo 3
Chapter 1
Danger
In a moment everything can change. Just when you think that everything is stable and nothing can go wrong ,everything and I mean everything is turned on its head. Breaking bread has always been a way of finding common ground with me and Cleo and when she told me that she wanted to go to the afternoon lunch market I didn’t expect what happened to happen. When she called Izzy and hung up I had heard the panic in her voice . My mother had found a way to find her and I knew that mentally she was not okay and deep down in my heart I knew that Cleo was in trouble and not the good kind .
When I ran to the bathroom where Cleo was; she had a steel knife pointed to her throat and the look in my mother’s eyes spelt trouble. Izzy had a gun pointed to her and so did I and it didn’t feel okay as a son to be against my mother so I put it away .
“ Mom let her go”
“ No can do my boy .”
“ What did she ever do to you.? “
“She dated you and oh after telling her countless of times to stay the hell away from you and our family she stayed .”
“ What will it take for you to realize that I love her and that besides the twins she is carrying your grandchild .”
She started to dip the knife in turn making me nervous .which was rare because I have never been in a situation where my own mother threatened my happiness to the point where she is going to extreme measures to make sure my baby love leaves me . Cleo looked at me with fear in her eyes, the same look she gave me when I mistakenly had her at gun point at the Villa. She was scared and I couldn’t remedy what she was going through. It was all my fault. My mother moved the knife from Cleo’s throat to her tummy not only threatening her life but their baby’s life
“ Izzy take care of my son for me will you.”
“What the hell is going on Izzy?”
Izzy aimed the gun she was holding at me in turn raising multiple red flags in my head .
“ Daniel has bad taste in women period. Tell him that for me when they find you I just hope it’s not too late.”
I looked at Izzy who had a smirk on her face . Something in my gut told me Daniel was being double crossed by someone who he didn’t suspect. Before I could reach for my gun and shoot Izzy I was shot point blank by someone who was supposed to protect the woman I love with her life . I have been shot before but having no protective gear on I felt the hit the last thing I remembered was Cleo being taken away , blurriness and then darkness. The last thought I had was the worst thought and that was me being peeved at Cleo for a useless reason.

I always have someone watching over me from a distance ; I knew this because when I finally opened my eyes , Luigi was busy praying , which was something he never did unless he thought someone close to him was in danger or not going to make it through the night. When I closed my eyes and opened them again it looked like I was in the Luca wing. I knew how my family’s hospital room looked like; because I had been there on numerous occasions ,and as soon as my eyes made contact with a pair of blood shot red dark brown orbs that looked like Cleo’s only this time they weren’t the eyes of the woman I loved ; but the eyes of her brother who looked worried .He had to say my name twice so that he knew I was okay. After checking my vitals he asked me, what happened and where was Cleopatra? My throat felt dry and it burned when I tried to speak and before I knew it the pain I felt on my shoulder could not compare to how I felt knowing that my wife to be was kidnapped by my mother and she was close to giving birth.
“Massa?”
Luigi gave me a cold glass of water and I downed it like my life depended on it and looked him.
“ Thank you bro.”
“ No sweat .”
I looked at Daniel and I felt like crying because I felt that part her being kidnapped was my fault.
“ My mother has her .”
“How?”
“ Izzy has been the mole you have been searching for. She shot me and helped my mother kidnap your sister . something is off with your security Intel I suggest you screen everyone again , because if my mother was able to get to Izzy , I am pretty sure she was able to get to other people within your security team . I am speaking from experience .“
Daniel looked at me hurt and angry. First of all he was in love with a woman who threatened his sisters’ life , betrayed him in every way shape and form , and broke his heart without a thought. I could sort of relate because my mother didn’t like Cleo and she did nothing to her … she only fell in love with me and loved me completely and unconditionally.
“ How long has your mother been in cahoots with Izzy?”
“ I don’t know. All I know is that I want Cleo Back and I cannot do it on my own and I am not a one man army at all. I love your sister .”
“ I know and she loves you too. she is smart enough to get herself out of the trouble . “
“ Did you put any trackers on the jewelry she was wearing?”
“ Her earrings . Nicolai and Carlo are my most trusted men they should be able to track her.”
Salvatore has contacts within the Stone group. Don’t ask how but he can also get us information with regards to where they might have her .”
“ Daniel I am so sorry . ”
“ Don’t be we will find her together. She will also wring my neck if I don’t make sure you recover properly, and she did say I was going to be your brother … big brother in law so we have got this … together we can find Cleo.”
I stretched out my hand and he held my hand in his . He gave me a firm shake and nodded
“ Together bro.”
