Lizzy's POV
I pressed send and got off the bench. I slit the phone in my hand into the trash can. I didn’t want Derik to come for me. I didn't want any of them to come looking for me.
I walked past the camera, making sure to stand at its center, before looking up. A sad smile crept across my lips. This was it. This was goodbye!
I raised my hand and waved. He’d know what it meant.
I hope he wouldn’t hate me for this. But I couldn’t stay anymore. It was just too painful.
I adjusted my backpack and walked up to the sale booth.
“Where to, sweetheart?” the lady asked and gave me a kind smile. I glanced up at the schedule. The next train out of here was headed to Los Angeles.
The City of Angels.
I grinned at the irony
Why the hell not?
“A one-way ticket to Los Angeles, please,” I said and braced myself for whatever would lie ahead…
The only thing I couldn’t have prepared for was HIM!

Hi there! I hope I'm not causing any trouble, but I recently read "A Hunter's Chance - #2 of The Hunter's Series" and I genuinely enjoyed it. I've been thinking about adapting your story into my comic style, and I would be thrilled to bring it to life in that format. I believe you'll be pleased with the results, and perhaps you'd even consider sharing it once it's done.
I'm a skilled digital artist with professional experience, and I offer paid services for my work. I don't work for free, but I assure you that the quality will be worth it. We can discuss pricing and other details further or connect on Discord if you're interested. My Discord ID is echoknight.01 if you'd like to connect.
I love it, can't wait to get into this story...
