Quarantine.
The room was closing in. All she saw was dancing shapes floating in front of her eyes. The darkness was consuming. The voices were reverbrating in her head. She tried to shut them out to no avail. She was helpless,the first time for a person touted to be the most popular in her grade. She was all alone with the walls closing in around her until she couldn’t breathe. Until she felt she was in a glass cage with water rising up. There was no way to escape,no amount of pounding on the glass cage could open up the cage. She had socially isolated due to the disease but what she didn’t understand was that she had also mentally isolated herself from others. She had no one to turn to,people who told her that they would be with her no matter what turned away. All unseeing. She couldn’t hold it in anymore. She combusted. A beautiful flame of bright lights ,of green pastures,of dark nights and of raven mountains.
Silence.
“Aaargh” came the scream the next morning. The beautiful flame had died out. No more able to handle the pressure,the expectations, not knowing what to do with the voices she heard. A bloody bath,a vein cut, there was no ashes for the phoenix to rise from. No more voices. Only silence .
