Yuuki’s POV
(Original) Earth, Tokyo; the Year 2020
Here is my world, Earth, where Magic is a work of fairy tales.
As in the Google Definition,
“Magic is the power of apparently influencing events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.”
And I, am Yuuki Akatsuki, just an ordinary, Super-Intelligent Middle-Schooler. And by Intelligent, I mean really Intelligent.
And today is the day of my Middle-school graduation.
I’ll graduate from Middle-School now that I am 15, and get admitted into a high-school a month later.
Just sitting inside my house, I take it out.
It’s a gemstone with an obsidian colour. There are black markings on it. Those black markings make up the symbol of the Satanic Temple.
This stone is something I found a month ago in the ruins of a temple which collapsed last year.
I just kept it as a lucky charm, mainly because I was interested in these occult kind-of stuff.
This had nothing special till a moment ago, but suddenly it started shining.
Hey, is it finally the start of something Occult?

Here is my world, Earth, where Magic is real and operational.
As in the Google Definition,
“Magic is the power to influence the World’s Laws to do a certain set of Actions.”
And I, am Yuuki Akatsuki, just an ordinary, Super-Intelligent Middle-Schooler. And by Intelligent, I mean really Intelligent.
And today is the day of my Middle-school graduation.

When I woke up, I had a severe headache.
Several Memories flowed into me.
They were of a child with the same name as me, and basically everything was the same, except for one thing, that this child's world, did not have Magic.
Maybe I can also call these "my" memories.
Okay, so let me see, in the current world, this is the history...
Till the Year 2020, there was absolutely no real Magic.
After the 2020 year peacefully passed, Animals started going berserk. They also had special Magical powers.
We called these beasts as Magic Beasts.
These beasts waged war on humans. It seems many of them were Sentient beings.
Okay, so using sneak attacks, they stole much of our resources.
Also, it seemed they came from the Southern Hemisphere.
That's why, in countries which had the southern coast of the continents suffered the most from resource Scarcity, while the northern countries weren't affected all that much.
Furious from this, the southern countries waged war on the northern countries.
They faced themselves in war, which consumed their resources at a fast pace, while also under attack by the Magic Beasts. So, resource Scarcity increased even more.
Just to clarify, there were very few countries which chose to stay on the neutral side, one of them was Japan.
This War was still ongoing even in the 2090s.
At first, Japan had chosen to remain neutral because of one reason, that may be because the Magic Beasts weren't interested much in them - they only suffered from minimal Magic Beast Raids.
But now in 2090, noticing the War, the Magic Beast seemed to have increased greed, and the raids on Japan escalated.
Seeing this, the Japanese turned furious.
They also joined the war, but it was for one reason - to stop the war and make the participants sober, to wake them up and tell them that humanity needs to unite to defeat the Magic Beasts.
They joined the war, but their demands were not accepted.
This seemed to be going on till 3000, but Japan was at a severe disadvantage of Numbers.
However, in 3000, strange energy erupted, and Humanity got the power of Magic.
The first country to get its hands on Magic was Japan. They invested a large part of their resources to the military to train Magic-Users or Mages.
As a result, in 3003, the war ended. Japan started dominating, which forced the other countries to accept their demands.
After they became familiar with Mages, they also started crazily training Mages.
At that time, Military started having even more Influence and Power than the Government; The Military became the Governing body of a country, the ones with the highest power.
Many Military Academies that trained Mages were opened and ordinary schools were on the collapse.
Now arrived 3015.
When I graduated from Middle School, my future was already set; I was to enrol in the Advanced National Japanese Military Institute (ANJMI), the most popular Militaristic Magic Academy Globally!
And better, I was a Scholarship Student!
Now, you don't know about being a Scholarship student of that school; students from all over Japan enter the Admission test, but not more than a thousand get to enter. From those 1000, the top 10 are known as Scholarship students.
Now, I am 15 years old.
It is said that on your 15th Birthday, your own unique Magic Talent inside you appears.
To officially Awaken it, you will have to do so when you get admitted in high school.
Now, I have to train my Physical abilities first.
I was just about to start doing that, but then, I noticed something.
The Gemstone had disappeared!!
Instead of it, on my upper arm, the same symbol appeared facing sideways!!
I tried to remove it. but it was stuck!
When I was just about to take a nap and closed my eyes, there was a White Card there!

This is called the Occult.
Oh, by the way, Satan is not truly here, but whenever you say Satan, you can also interpret it as the name of the Evil God, Ankhseram, who is real. In the first place, Gods are real here.
What surprised me more was the Grade.
Magic Ability Talents are categorised to several grades of rarity.
From the most common to the rarest, the grades are: G, F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, EX, SP
In these grades, there are also narrower grades, like Grade G is divided into G-, G, and G+.
Now, SP is the Highest Grade in the most literal sense, there is no SP+ Grade or anything.
So... isn't this a cheat?
