The beginning of something amazing!!!!

“MOM, DAD, WAIT DON’T-DON’T GO. DON’T LEAVE ME!” “sorry take care of your sister we will always love you my little baby boy. “MOOOOOM!!!!!.”
I woke up sweating and panting it was not uncommon for me to have nightmares, especially about that night. 10 years ago my parents and I were attacked by mer-hunters. They attack creatures like us and sell our scales for high prices. Mom and dad had some good scales, so did everyone in my village. Everyone was them was dragged out of the sea by force it was horrible. My parents were a part if it. I saw them get harpooned right in front of me while they were protecting me and my little sister. We escaped but just barely. My mom and dad entrusted Marina onto me. On their last breathe they told me to take care of her and the will always love and protect us.
At that time my sister wasn’t born yet she was still an egg. So she didn’t have to see what had happened it was a lot better actually because she didn’t have to remember it as I did. It took my sister 5 years to hatch. I thought she was dead after the first year and I had lost another family member I cried that night for a very long time. Thinking my sister had died that I couldn’t protect her that I was an awful brother. Even so, I kept the egg, a few days after my thirteenth birthday the egg began to crack. I panicked and thought that the egg was dying. Until I heard small wales coming from inside the tiny egg. It was my little sister I had already accepted the fact she was dead. She was still alive inside that egg for 5 years. Her long tail was a very pink though a darker pink than most. Unlike mine that was red. Her hair was the same colour as her tail. Her eyes were red just like mine. Her fins on her were Transparent. That made it even prettier I knew that a lot of mer-hunters would be after her so I had to protect her as much as I could. Marina was the first words I said when I saw her so I named her Marina.
For the most part of our lives, we lived them happily without any problems occasionally Marina would wander off. She would get very close to the coral reef. I would stop her immediately and scold her I didn’t want her to get taken like our parents especially since her scales were so rare. She was a lot weaker than most fish, especially cause she was born so late. Even the tiniest wave would send her flying. You see there are 2 areas in the sea. The deep reef we lived in the deep reef. This place was safer from mer-hunters since it was a lot deeper down. It wasn’t the best place to live but it was the safest. But the fish here wasn’t necessarily the friendliest. Some people would claim whole areas for themselves and kill anyone who refused to listen. I was one of those people I never listened even though it would get me all beat up I still refused to sit back and watch it happen. All those fights helped me become stronger at some point I was able to hold up my own against other fish. I could even take down a shark or two. Though that was a lot harder than it seemed. In a way, I was training, training for the day we left to go to the wave point. It was a thing I heard from one of the fishes. It says that the wave point can grant any 3 wishes even if that wish was to bring back the dead. It was just a rumour but I still wanted to go. I wanted to believe it was true. So I promised myself that on my eighteenth birthday I would go and find it and bring my parents back no matter the cost. Then there is the coral reef it is much closer to the surface but is extremely pretty that is where we lived before that is why the humans got to us. It was a lot brighter up there. Unlike her which for the most part is always dark, the sun never reaches us. Though it fine since all of us have gotten used to it and can sea (Sorry but that was the perfect opportunity) perfectly in the dark.
It was nearing my 18th birthday it was just 2 days away. I was already packing and helping my sister pack too. “Hey big brother,” my sister asked. “Yes, Marina” I replied “Do you- do you...” she stuttered. “What is it you know you can ask your MANLY big brother anything,” I said trying to make her laugh. “HAHA, you to funny I just wanted to ask if we really can save our parents with the wave point,” she asked. “I’m sure we can and if we couldn’t we went on an adventure which I’m sure would be fun. Don’t you think?” I reassured. “YEAH! were going to have lots and lots of fun right?” “Yep! especially with your manly big brother by your side!” I said. “Yeah!” she screamed happily. Though I didn’t know that things were changing a lot in the ocean. That wasn’t for the better.

Hey! Your worldbuilding is honestly incredible. Every part of the story feels meaningful and full of emotion, and the depth of the lore makes it so easy to get completely immersed in your world. The latest chapter was especially impressive, and while reading it, I found myself thinking of a few ideas and theories about where the story could go next. I’d love to share them with you if you’d be interested.
