Chapter one: “Birthday Wishes.”

Perhaps the sunset would be more intriguing if it wasn't observed through such an infedecimal amount of space, Or even no space at all.

Caspian sat along the crumbling brick walls. The sun's rays managed through a small hole of the barricaded window. Just enough to illuminate a portion of the floor. His cell was rather small, it had a towel that laid upon the floor in which he called his bed and a corner in which he revlive himself. The room smelt like chemicals. After Caspians last time in the lab he’d been puking a green musky mess. That sizzled when it touched the ground but better yet he felt nothing. nothing at all.

“A-Sixteen, Rise.” A voice rose from behind the cell door.

Caspian lifted himself to his feet, he struggled for a few seconds as he tried to regain his balance. Small shuffles of feet could be heard before the heavy metal door clicked and the large sticks slid out of their places, which used to hold the door securely shut. With a sudden jerk the door slowly opened. A tall figure and two stubby beings sauntered in. The man in front was obviously an adult. His shoulders were broad and towered over Caspian. His hair was slicked back and set into a folded over bun . He wore a surgeon mask and gloves that nearly stretched to his elbows. He popped his knuckles in a motion that sent the two others to walk out from behind him. They were about a foot or two shorter than the man and their lab coats covered their hands and fell over their knees as they were much too big for the two. They mumbled to each other before grabbing Caspian by the forearms. He stumbled a bit as they lifted him up and carried him into the light of the hallway. Caspian let out a strange yelp of surprise as they tugged at his sleeves. They set him down in a wheelchair, which was waiting nearby. They slipped a metal bracelet onto his wrist called an ALEG. Such high-tech wristbands are used for discipline among patients. A small needle tucked away in a small capsule; when turned on the needle will drop onto the skin, at contact it sends multiple electric waves into the body. Most patients would faint at such torment.

They wheeled Caspain away from his cell and across the hall, Into a elevator. One of the scientists pressed a button. The side doors closed and the elevator descended at a slow pace. The ground shook for a second then stopped. The doors opened. To Caspians surprise there were other patients. Many sat in chairs with their hands tied down while others were packed into the back corner. They wheeled Caspain into the third room on the right, and shut the door behind all four of them.

“Okay. A-Sixteen, Birth year?” The scientist with the auburn hair said in a pushy manner.

“1974.” Caspains voice aches to pull through. The scientist checked off something on his clipboard then sat next to Caspian. He paused for a moment looking up into his eyes, they were dark blue. A sharp light blue peeked through with the help of the light, He could even see the unique layers. Caspian forced a small grin at the scientist, forcing him to flush red and look down. He looked at his accompanying scientist, “Hold him.” The two others hurried over and held down on his shoulders and waistline. The blue-eyed man gave Caspian a quick glance before tugging on his shirt. He lifted it up and over Caspians head. He threw the shirt on a nearby chair. The man stood up and quickly grabbed a syringe off the counter then walked back to his seat, sitting next it Caspian. He rubbed wet cloth on his upper arm then injected the needle. Once all the liquid was gone, The man pulled away and set the needle back in the counter. Caspian could feel the liquid shift into his blood stream, seeping further into his body and sting each little pore. These sort of things he was used too due to having it don’t each week. But after all, it still hurt. The doctors let go of him. His shoulders suddenly felt cold and his knees collapsed . Caspian groaned. His body burned, as if fire was traveling through his system. The shot was never this bad before. He hunched over in his chair then let out a hesitant cry of agony. His veins rose from his skin, in a green and red color. His legs ached and shook; even his head felt hot as his head formed sweat. The tall doctor set something on the table and left the room, while the other two wrote on their clipboards, Processing the liquids’ reaction on paper. Caspian struggled in his seat when suddenly, his vision went black. like the light went out. He stopped moving, yet he felt as if he was running a marathon. His head spun and churned like ocean waves crashing against a giant ship, rocking it back and forth. Before. It sinks. Before he could catch himself, Caspian fell to the floor. Laying there. Like a dead man.

“It worked.”
