Chapter 1
How does a moment last forever? That has been my question my entire life. Is it a picture, or a memory? Both of those will eventually fade though. So that couldn’t be the answer, right?
These questions run through my mind every day. Or at least they used to before I really understood what I was asking. I had it explained to me. A moment last forever, not through a memory, or even an image.
Moments last forever through stories. The legends passed down from generation to generation. We tell them, our children tell them, and eventually our grandchildren tell them.
From the first time you took a breath to the last breath you took. We tell the legacy of those who came before us. We share our story, then others share it. It spreads until it never dies. That is how a moment lasts forever, and it’s a beautiful thing.
Whether you had a bad life or a good one, this is how the moments of our lives last for all of eternity. So speak loud, and shout your story from the highest mountain top. BE pround of who you are.
So your family moments, and your moments never die out in silence. So that they can live forever in the future.
So this is my story, I do hope you will listen to what I have to say. My name is Ali. I didn’t have the best childhood, in fact it was a really bad childhood. If I could forget and stop telling my story I would.
When I met my first friend, I thought things would all turn around and be better. I was six when this happened, but that was when I first heard those words. How does a moment last forever?
“Ali,” he said to me, “Do you know how a moment lasts forever?”
Those words changed my life, even though I didn’t understand them, and I had no Idea how to answer them. It was like the light my brother had snuffed out was relit inside my heart.
I will never forget the day, Ander asked me how moments last forever. I will always thank him for what he did for me in my life. I will make his moments last forever. Thus concludes my story for now. My moments will never end though. Until next time my friends, yes?
