"Wow..can I just say what a rollercoaster this book is! It's beyond amazing and the amount of detail the author adds its JUST....oofff!!!! I absolutely fell in love with this book and let me just say 😩 It's addictive to read ! 🥰"
loved it
"TFOAPB was an amazing book, found it when it was still on wattpad and the last few chapters weren't published yet and reread it now on patreon. It was the first slow-burn type of novel i have read (which i usually avoid) and it really made me give the genre a chance. English is not my first language and i found the writing very well done and easy to understand, didn't have to go back and reread paragraphs that i didn't get and it made it easier and faster to read. There were some parts in the narration that made me cringe like it belonged to 2012's tumblr humor but all of that i could forgive because at the end it really doesn't matter that much, we all have some cringe in us. I really liked the characters, they were well written and you loved who you had to love and you hated who you had to hate. The only thing i didn't like about them was that most of them (Lily and Payne & co) seemed too good to be true, i have never met anyone that was that unflawed in real life, much less teenagers when they are at an age that is for them to make mistakes and learn from them. The main characters & co are way too perfect, like they have no flaws and it really seemed unrealistic. The only character that is remotely flawed (that we know of) is Lily and only because we see everything from her point of view, and for me that made her the most interesting one. She had depth and the rest were very happy-go-lucky therefore not that interesting. I found much more interesting the dynamics between Lily and the Ross siblings and Lily and her parents because they were the bad guys and directly affected our heroine and you want to know how is she gonna escape them and find her hapiness. The rest already seemed happy and good with their lives so it wasn't that interesting. I was sad that Lily's flaws weren't explored more but I really hope that TFOLR gets more into it, after all she is a child of neglectful parents and that can be very traumatic and affect every future relationship for them, we need more mommy and daddy issues representation (that's a joke). One of the things i loved the most was the intimate/steamy parts, not only because they were very well written but because it just seemed so real, because it is overwhelming and kind of scary and exciting and embarrassing all at the same time and it was so satisfactory to read. When I first found the book i was looking for something that I could be really invested in and it was given to me, i loved it so much that at times i had to stop reading because my chest ached so much for the characters. I will definetly recommend it to my friends."
I LOVE THIS NOVEL!!!💙
"I read this book back when it was on Wattpad and I can say it was and is still, definitely a favourite. Every chapter left me wanting to read and unfold more of the story. I feel like I experienced so many emotions while reading this book. At times I would laugh my butt off, to having this massive ass grin on my face, to being pissed like someone killed my dog, to crying myself to sleep lol. I love it when reading can make me feel this way and this book did all that and more. I absolutely loved reading this book and I could read it over and over again. I cannot wait for more. Thank you so much Rima, for being the amazing writer that you are and I cannot wait for more. ❤️❤️❤️"
amazing!!
"i’m not good at writing reviews buttttt i love this book so much. i read it when it was for free on wattpad and i’ve re read it so many times on patreon. i’ve recommended this book to my friend and she loves it, i let her read it on my phone and she wants to read the mitchels mate books now :). you’re absolutely amazing at writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation. everything. you just know how to describe things without it being long and hard to understand. it’s never boring reading your books, you make the characters so cute and i just picture it all in my head as a movie or something. it’s just so relatable and i love how i feel as if i’m there with them. i love all your books, i live for them and would 100000% buy them if you ever got them published. The Slow Burn of Fluff and Steam
"One way this book sets itself apart from a lot of books, whether it be on Wattpad or Inkitt, is that it actually builds and explores the relationship between the main characters, Lily and Payne. The beginning sets off with Lily having a certain perception of who Payne is as it encompasses the tide of push and pull between them, in terms of Payne pulling Lily in, and her pushing him away. There are a ton of witty and snarky comebacks passed between them which I'm usually not a fan of in books since it's something that makes me cringe; it's something that I quickly got used to though. The story then slowly transforms into a bundle of fluff, filled with innocent touches and stares. The beginning stages of their budding romance is cute, pure and so worth it. This aspect of the book is realistic as it does not jump on the train of pure physicality so forcefully. It's something that is so wonderfully and purely explored in the most innocent way. The way the author writes their moments together made my heart skip and swell with excitement. Their innocence made me cheese with glee and go crazy with happiness, truly and honestly. Of course, although there is a lot of fluff, there is Lily's looming backstory which is woven throughout the book quite well. There are many scenes that connect and are way deeper than they may seem. The author does well in dropping hints and incorporating symbols that tie things together which also foreshadows the future chapters and the sequel of this book. Their love then blossoms into a more mature scenery that is yet again portrayed very nicely. Again, nothing about this book is rushed. Even when there is more physicality involved, and although they are high schoolers who are rocked by high emotions and feelings, they still take the time to explore intimacy at a comfortable pace. Moving on to them as characters, Lily is someone who is tied down by her circumstance and certain people in her life. We get to see more hard-hitting and emotional moments from her end more than we see Payne's. Although they are shaped by different circumstances, when they are put together, they blend so mesmerizingly. (SPOILER AHEAD) Their love is beautiful and heartbreaking as they affect one other in various ways that can be taken in positively and sometimes negatively. Although I initially thought that Payne was the perfect male-lead, I would have to say that his fatal flaw is always putting Lily above him no matter what. Although I adore his selflessness, it also made my head frustrated and my heart hurt a little since I so badly wanted him to think about himself in certain situations. As for the writing, I believe that it is very beautiful as it translates the emotional scenes very well. Some parts can be highly descriptive at times, which I feel aren't as necessary and will not take away from the meaning of certain chapters if they were to be taken away. Regardless, I highly applaud the writing style and grammar overall. It is engaging and so amazing. The writing made my eyes attach to every word; it often made me try to prolong each chapter as long as I could simply because I did not want it to end. Overall, this story is very high in my archives. I've re-read it thrice now and it never fails in leaving me squealing with so much excitement as I always revel over their love. I recommend this story so so much. I really encourage whoever is reading this to give it a try on Patreon. It is an incredibly deep, pure, innocent, intricate, exciting, and steamy love story that hooks you with your heart, so give it a try! P.S it also has a sequel which I am absolutely raving over due to how this book left me."
The Fall of a Pretty Boy
"I really like how in this chapter we got to see overall how the group is and how each person works in the group<3 Without going into much detail, we are still shown the dynamics of the group and how much they do mean to each other. Also how this first chapter is definitely the start off to a whole lot of drama and excitement. Definitely makes me happy and want a close friend group:) I also love the explanation of everyone and a little bit of their personality before we get to see more in depth before the story starts. The ending too is such a cliffhanger 😭 definitely sets off the book and keeps you on your toes. "
