"Zavi truly never disappoints. You can always count on her to deliver characters with emotional depth and stories that make you feel something. In the case of Tattoo’s and Trust, I felt a great deal of things— happiness, laughter, heartbreak, anger, sympathy. Picture that little wheel that therapists have with emotions on it and point to a random spot and I assure you I felt it. It’s a gift to make readers feel so strongly with words and it’s one that Zavi James has harnessed beautifully. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. It’s a tale of unforeseen love, a pairing of souls that isn’t the stereotypical bad boy/good girl. Sure, you can try to label the characters as such, but you’ll quickly discover that there is SO much more to them than those terms. Check this out if you’re interested in a diverse read with communities underrepresented in lit & characters who will make you love them more and more with each word they say and think."

Not only is Zavi James an incredible story teller, she is a master of words and extremely talented. I felt connected to the character myself as I come from a strict family too. So this story resonated with me. Such a unique and different storyline from what I have read, and I can't recommend it enough! Definitely worth checking it out!"
