Drowning In My Mind
I am spirling fast into the sea of my mind,
Gasping for air as I feel another wave push against my chest,
Choking the air from my lungs that seek the breath of freedom.
Breath.
Breath.
The mind churns but the air won’t come.
The lips won’t part.
The mind stays still, rolling under torrents sinking into the sea
Hand.
Hand?
I see none.
I see water and sand.
I feel.
I feel wet and cold and still.
I am spirling fast into the sea of my mind,
Gasping for air, that won’t come in
