"I want to explain the way I selected the stars for the review. To start, the idea is very good. The novel started off fantastic! I loved the way the main character was shaped and portrayed. When the second main character came into play, it was very interesting and enticing. I really liked the intro of the second character. The history of the first character is very sad but touching. It played a lot into the beginning development of her. I started getting thrown off by certain things that wouldn't logically make sense. Then, the storyline of events was very rushed. It would have been more logical to have time gaps with the same events or slow down and spread the events. It doesn't make sense for someone who's been traumatized to be open to a lot of events right away. PICTURES!! Authors, please do not do this! I was very frustrated with pictures. When the author didn't want to describe in detail what they were trying to convey, they put pictures. Then, toward the end, the pictures were all over. This was an immediate reason to put down the book, but I forced myself to continue. I want to take the author's descriptions and create my visuals. I don't want an author showing me what I should visualize. It ruined a lot for me. Our way of thinking is all different, and the second you throw a picture, it changes the perception - much like changing an actor that plays the same character. The grammatical errors were a lot. I had to re-read several areas for it to make sense. Quotes were also missing in many areas, so you didn't know who was speaking when they were speaking vs. thinking it when the speaking ended. There were a lot of repetitive scenes, and the characters said the same thing over and over. The repeats could easily be removed without missing anything in the storyline or emotions. I really think this story has the potential to be great. I enjoyed the plot itself. There was one situation in specific that would have really popped a lot in the story of there would have been a bigger focus on points of that scene, if extended a bit more for a bigger story or if there were further dialogs and explanations (I can't even remember if the guy was Gene, Brent, or whatnot because it was limited). This situation should've been a huge point in the story, especially since it was mentioned 3 times, but when the climax came, it ended as abruptly as it started. If the book was out of fun, or bordem, I can understand a lot of the lacking and errors but if the author is an amateur and wants to publish, I would go back and do further development. I do think this story could be fantastic and published, but that's if the author has passion in it. If you are looking for smut, this is the book for you! Please don't not read it because of this review, but do go in with an open mind. I'm glad I took the time to read this story."
