"I enjoyed this story not just as a reader, but also as a multi-published (5 traditional novels, motion picture credits, television credits) author. The Soothsayer doesn't just entertain its readers, but subtly also offers the reader real food for thought. This by itself sets it apart from the usual offerings on the internet. The Prologue is, unlike most prologues, a powerful entree to the story. Characters, both primary and secondary, are precisely drawn, each unique and essential to the story. The plot moves inexorably to its powerful conclusion. Gabel's technical skill is a pleasant surprise, especially to a seasoned writer who at one time, taught college and adult students the rudiments of novel writing. I think that anyone who enjoys reading fantasy will thoroughly enjoy reading this story. Meg Ashley"

"Ok, I'll admit that I may have some bias here, but as an avid reader and lover of YA Fantasy novels, I know a great book from an OK book. The characters in this book are so relatable, you'll feel like you know them! Following Colin through this journey of self-discovery (and Faith discovery), I saw myself in many of the challenges he faced. Maybe not the specific circumstances (OK, definitely not the specific circumstances 🤣) but as Colin discovered his voice, I was reminded of my own journey to do the same. Any good writer can create a world filled with interesting characters, but to help the reader identify so closely with the protagonist's journey is a skill reserved for truly great writers. I highly recommend you give this book a read. Allow yourself to escape into this rich world filled with trials, friendships, triumph, and a little magic. You won't regret it!"
