Chapter 1
I'm just sitting... Sitting under a bench, watching. Watching for a time to be able to leave the cover of the bench. I haven't ate in days and my wolf, Anti, wont shut up about it.
"When can we get fooooood?" He whines.
"You know we can't leave, people will see us." I reply.
"But there's no one around right nowww."
I quickly smell the air to find out that he's right. I walk out from under the bench only to halt to a sudden scent that fills my nose.
"MATE! MATE! MATE! GO MATE! G-GO TO MATE! MATE HAS DOG! MAYE BETRAY US- MATE- FOOD! MATE FOOD- DOG-" Anti went into a frenzy of flying thoughts, and so do I. Without another thought I bolt into the direction of the smell. I stop in front of a human and a dog. The dogs tail wags and she gets into a crouch I've seen the pups back at my pack do when they would 'play'. They never let me play with them so I didn't know how to play. One of my ears flop over in confusion and I hear an 'awwww' sound from above us. My ears perk up and I look at the creature that made the sound. There stood the best looking human I've ever seen.
"D*mn" Anti comments. Im in too much awe to respond, I'd bet there are hearts in my eyes.
"Are you lost little guy?" My mate asks. A little whimper was I all could manage right now. He scratches my ear and static flows through my body. If you have a mate and know they're your mate when you touch, pleasing static flows through your body.
"And imagine how much better it'll be in bed when-"
"Anti, listen. I want that as much as you but we don't even know his name." Anti grumbled something along the lines of, 'fine I'll just think of it alone then.'
"Hi I'm Chica!" A voice yips from behind me. Startled, I whip around and bite whoever said that. My eyes widen when I recognize the dog from earlier. I immediately release her leg.
"Stay here!" I yelp before rushing off to get marigold and cob webs.
Running back while chewing the marigold, I stop the golden furred dog laying, to not put pressure on her leg. I get to her and clean her wound with my marigold covered tounge. I spit the left over marigold onto the ground next to her and I carefully wrap the cob when around her injured leg. I grab her scruff, picking her up, as she's small compared to me and lay her gently down next to my mate.
"I'm Jack." I finally respond, "sorry for biting you."
"It's okay!" Her tail wags as she responds. "That's, my owner, Mark." She flicks her ear in the direction of my mate.
"Hey random question, dogs have soulmates too, right?" I ask.
"Yeah! My mates a dolmation named Ash."
"W-well my mates your owner..." I reply quietly, shuffling my paws. Chica squeals, and I can't tell if its from joy, shock, or disgust.
