Chapter 1
This is the story of how humanity was almost wiped from the earth by creatures that came back to life; creatures called zombies or the undead. It started small in a lab somewhere in New York; scientists created a evolving virus capable of mutations. They called it Z-TOLD, it was to be there greatest work but it turned out to be a failure. The tests brought back the dead, and mutated the cells of the Re-animated so they appered to be breathing and living, but they were still dead where it mattered most; the Brain!
The cells kept changing as time past; first they brought back the dead, then they changed the dead into diffrent forms; each stronger then the last and finaly they created HIVES an air-born form of the virus that was deadly to those that breathed it; for HIVES did not cause more zombies to rise, no it just killed and didn't stop until the host was dead. New York was sealed off; New York from then on was known as the Dead Zone. This is our history and this is my story I am Orion Marze and I am one of five humans still ALIVE!
