Summary

We had the right love at the wrong time. We were eighteen when he handed me a stem of tulip, his mother’s favorite. He told me he was scared. It was something foreign, so familiar yet strange at the same time. He told me he loves me. I believed him. We were twenty-two, both embracing the terrors of law school, when he took my hand and faced me in front of the school’s chapel. In deep breath, he said it was tough. Life has been tough with him, but every time my face appears in his head, every doubt and worry fade away. He told me he loves me. I believed him. We were twenty-five, giggling as we waited for our turn to sign the roll. Beside his father, he found my eyes. I smiled. He muttered a silent I love you. I believed him. We were twenty-eight. Dressed in a dirty white gown and carrying a bouquet of tulips, I walked towards him. Our eyes met. He had the same smile, the same pair of eyes. The closer I got to him, the louder my heart beat. I smiled. He was smiling, yet his eyes talked to me in a familiar way. I bowed my head as I turned left to reach my seat. We were together for seven years, but we were friends way too long. So when he appeared at my house a year ago, with bloodshot weary eyes, I was certain the world I was building up with him shall crumble down. We had the right love at the wrong time. I was sure it was the case...until it wasn’t.

TopazHorizon: I enjoyed this book so much even though the Alpha is really a huge jerk. He didn't really redeem himself (so good thing he's amazing in bed haha), so I still feel she shouldn't have taken him back easily. That said, very entertaining and I love how the friendships are shown here. Very real. I'm tire...
