"Hi there! If you're the same Simone Condie that I'm thinking you are, then hello --- I'm your creative writing classmate Megan! I remembered you saying in a discussion board once that you had published one of your novels online, and so I looked you up on the internet and found it. If you're not the same Simone Condie, though, then we can both thank my classmate for sharing a name with you so that I found this book! Your novel's super creative! I love the various worldbuilding aspects and the many new creatures and types of people that are introduced in it. I think that they are introduced at a good pace, too. I also like your use of relatable characters, from Raven's introversion, even if he has it in a unique way that's still all his own at the same time, to Eva's backstory. And I liked the twist that you used in Chapter 14, too! The main things that I could see you working on would be getting readers used to the new world, characters, and plot a little more gradually toward the start of the book and then also the mechanics, but the latter is not as much of an issue to worry about for story structure and things like that. Overall, I just think that this is a fun and action-packed fantasy, and I'd definitely be interested in reading more of your works someday! Wishing you the best!"
