Hibernation Dreams
"This review was written in the context of the MVP Awards and refers to the first three short stories in the collection. "Hibernation Dreams" seems to be a collection of Karin's various thoughts, creative writing challenges and prompts. It is a testament to the author's talent for juggling words and phrases, shaping them into little stories that warm the heart and make one wonder. Karin's creative writing style in the first story is supported by the complex narration of "The End of Time" and the inner monologue and thoughts of "The Tree House", each of which is a piece of the author's mind. Distinctive voices and excellently portrayed little moments of life brighten the reading experience and invite you to read on. Grammar and punctuation are impeccable (minor hiccups, but nothing that can't be fixed or disrupts the reading flow); the end of the stories need a little tweaking, but otherwise it's a lovely reading experiences and highly recommended. Keep up the good work, dear Karin!"
A fantastic collection!
"This collection of stories absolutely blew me away. The ability to take a simple prompt and turn it into something original and unique is a skill that I envy. I wish I had that ability. Also, short stories are hard to write, and you did amazing work with every single one. Each of them had a clear plot, beautifully put together, just, I’m so impressed. Every single one of these works has heart, and it shines through wonderfully. It got me invested in every single story because I could see you in them. And I commend you for that. Writing style was amazing, matching the vibe of each story, from the ethereal end of time to the more relaxed tree house and the relatability of seeing red. I noticed virtually no grammar mistakes, if there were any they were so minor that they didn’t stand out to me in the slightest. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed these works. They had me from beginning to end. Really, really fantastic job. I feel like I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed these. If you haven’t read Hibernation Dreams, you are missing out on some truly wonderful writing."
Great short stories
"You should put some of these into another book. I recognized characters from the Quade series and those stories would be great if they were together for fans to read. There are a few places where you missed some wrong words, which is why I didn't give you perfect marks on the tech stuff. Otherwise, there are a few of these that would make great first chapters to a book. I hope you make Orange Moon into a longer story. I see Orange Moon is it's own book now, and you have moved the Quade stories into another book. Good stuff. I'll review them when I get a chance. "
