Sadie takes another deep breath in holds it then releases it slowly as she opens her eyes to look herself over once more before heading out.
Today was her first day at her new job as a coroner at Necrofind. She continues to look at herself in the mirror trying her best to ignore the thoughts being put into her head. She nods in approval, her black pinstripe slacks went perfectly with the dark grey button-up top. Her long jet black hair fell over most of her face-framing it, it continued down her shoulders and torso. she exhaled slowly reminding herself Whatever will be will be so chill the hell out for fuck’s sake
(The woman has such a foul mouth she could make a sailor blush)

Fuck off I don’t remember asking any of you She replies quietly as she turns around grabbing her purse and heading out of her house quickly before getting into an argument.
(She didn’t want to start this day off with bickering back and forth. She had to be in normal mode)
She walked quickly into the giant building swiping her picture id badge and instantly smiling when a green light flashed and the security guard waved her through. She walked down the giant laboratory following the arrows she was told to when she hears a male voice behind her.
First day huh?
She began walking a bit faster focusing on her breathing and humming to herself.
Hello? Hey, can you hear me up there? "the male voice," says to themselves?
Sadie rolled her eyes and stopped as she was about to say “fuck off I’m at work” she feels someone’s face pressed against her back for a brief moment. Her big hazel eyes get bigger as she jumped around quickly turning around to see a guy who came up just below her shoulders with dark hair and eyes. He looked like he was trying not to laugh. She looked at him trying to decide if he was real she quickly looked around then down apologizing oh man i... I wasn’t umm... she trailed off. uh, my bad, yes it’s my first day she mumbles looking away awkwardly as she starts walking again. The short guy now had a huge smile on his face as he walks quickly to keep up with her long strides. you’re going to be fun working with I bet, I find awkward people so interesting he chuckles to himself.
Sadie smiles politely as they get closer to their destination.” Hmm, I didn’t think you looked awkward so I guess you’re not very interesting. she says in a low raspy voice she used for work.
It takes a moment before the short man catches what she said. Hey, wait not me but before he could finish they turn a corner and walk into a giant room.
Sadie is still looking around the enormous room taking it all in when she’s greeted by Rosa.
Sadie, Mark your here wonderful Rosa smiles shaking Mark’s then Sadies hand as he leads them into the center of the enormous conference room with a giant dark mahogany table and big black chairs. If you like there is coffee in the next room or you can take a seat.
Mark quickly turned around calling behind him Hey jumpy you want some?
yes please, she replies as she gazes around the white room looking at the various painting of anatomy on the walls. As she admires a particular one she can’t help but mutter “it’s beautiful” it has a black background with a giant brain painted in different colors splattered on top. She’s staring at it for a bit not noticing that a tall handsome man walked into the room.
Rosa walks over to him taking his hand in hers as she gave him a quick kiss before turning back and introducing him.
Sadie this is Victor my boyfriend and the angry stubborn mule you will be working with at least once a week she smiles jokingly.
Sadie walks over meeting him halfway reaching her hand out her full lips forming a big smile. As she repeated to herself be normal be normal
Victor’s mouth went dry as he took a small step forward reaching for Sadies extended hand. He tried to clear his throat and shake the tingle he felt all over even before he touched her hand which was nothing compared to the tingling sensation shooting through him the minute they touched.
A nice size actual spark went off between them looking like a small bolt of lightning coming from their hands. Sadie whimpers and tries to pull her hand away but he held on to it tightly as his lips pulled up into a smile he was clearly unfazed by the jolt and very amused.
(Sadie hated getting shocked not just because it happened often but because it hurt her more than it must anyone else she gathered since no one else seemed as bothered by it.)
Rosa who was staring at them both confused asks What happened? Are you okay Sadie? What did you do to her? Victor looked taken back and opened his mouth to reply when Sadie spoke smiling politely shaking her head. “Oh, no no it wasn’t him at all”
“really”
“then what?”
Both say in unison “static” and then turn to smile at each other. Rosa shrugs already uninterested when Mark suddenly walks back in handing Sadie a cup of coffee.
here you go buttercup, Are you sure coffee is what you need though jumpy? he smiles. Sadie smirks at him shaking her head and taking the cup carefully. Yes, I’m sure. Thank you awkward she replies making him laugh he’s about to reply with a snappy remark when a short blonde bombshell walks in along with a tall guy who had beautiful crystal blue eyes the pair looked as if they just stepped out of a magazine everyone was looking at them almost in awe.
Everyone except Victor, who never looked away from Sadie sipping her coffee except to size up Mark who was sitting next to her, drooling at the bombshell at the door. Victor watched them both carefully as he walked to his seat at the head of the table paying no mind to the two gorgeous people introducing themselves when the others walk in.
Rosa greeted them as she and Victor sat down at the same time. Sadie looked at both wondering if they planned that out since it seemed so in sync she then imagined them practicing it over and over again perfecting it like they just did.
(Sadie tends to daydream a lot which is one of the reasons she gets startled so easily. She’s always in her damn head)
She smirked to herself shaking her head slightly trying to get the thoughts out of it as she looked down trying to focus on what rosa was now in the middle of saying since she missed the beginning of her speech daydreaming.
Now Victor will speak to you each briefly and then put you into pairs. Thank you all so much for showing up and I hope you all enjoy your time here With that, she motions for Vincent. okay, honey, it’s all yours she walked out looking back at the guys once more before closing the door behind her.
Victor stands up making himself stop stealing glances at Sadie or peeking at her from the side, that’s when it dawned on him that he’s hardly even glanced at the other coroners. He knew the two females were blondes and the four men seemed to be gawking at all the women. He even noticed the tall model-looking one Ethan glancing flirtatiously at Rosa and she was grinning like some goofy teenager.
Victor has always been very jealous and was greatly bothered and confused when he didn’t blow a fuse. Normally this type of thing would have sent him into such a rage everyone would have noticed it and Ethan would have been fired. But he felt nothing. Why wasn’t he jealous? What’s wrong with me? he wonders as
he stands up and calls the first name from the list he had. Ashley? he looks up questioningly at the two blondes when the shorter one stands up smiling big. That’s me she bats her eyelashes.
Victor raised his hand quickly and motioned for her to sit back down. He looks at Mark, “follow me” the moment they were out of the room everyone started chatting. The two blondes flirting with the two males left while Sadie was playing with her rings alternating between the one on her thumb and twisting the simple wedding band when Danny the one other person who wasn’t flirting about moved over to the end of the table where Sadie was sitting at and introduced himself to her. hey Im Danny She smiles politely and says hey, Im Sadie nice to meet you He nods towards the others all flirting with one or another that gives me high school flashbacks he smiles and bats his eyelashes like a girl who has hair in her eye and makes his voice much deeper than it is. Hey, there little mama he jokes Sadie laughs and was about to say something when Vincent cleared his throat loudly and everyone got quiet when the tall angry man walked back into the room. His hair was messy his eyes dark and small, his tone short seeming to radiate anger.
You, your next he points to Danny. Mark walks back in grabbing his things and saying Later jumpy to Sadie.
Gentlemen, Victor says in a short irritated tone.
(Clearly, he isn’t a patient man.)
Sadie follow me, he said tensely as Danny came back in grabbing his things quickly.
She breathed out slowly and followed him wondering what he would ask her, and even more troubling what would she say...
They walk down a hall turning into another hall and then a vast room it had two autopsy tables and a set of desks one on the left back corner and the other on the right front The back wall was where they would store the bodies a total of six and yet it was still very roomy there was a glass wall to the far left with blinds closed. He leads her to it across from it is a smaller empty office with a desk and the blinds open. They walk in and he motions for her to sit down.
So Sadie, tell me about yourself, he asks after he sits down at his desk staring at her intensely, making her nervous she looked at him for a moment before averting her eyes away. “um well, I’m very thorough...
Yes, I reviewed your work in your file. I noticed that But what I meant is tell me about you, not your work he smiles warmly at her.
Sadie was a bit confused and now even more nervous so for some odd reason before she thought it through she answered. I sing to myself a lot and I have a weird sense of humor then surprised by her response she covered her mouth muttering shit, shit”
