Its been 2 whole years that Kira graduated from high school , 2 years of her best friend's betrayal, 2 years of struggle, 2 years of silence... Her bestfriend veronica betrayed her trust, took advantage , humiliated just because her boyfriend Alex couldn't keep it up in his pants and she blamed kira for all of that.
She never thought that her bestfriend whom she cared, loved like a sister would betray in a worst possible way. Their friendship meant nothing to veronica as she left her all alone just because her boyfriend framed her.
She couldn't understand how her life turned upside down in just few days. How and why her loving father dosen't even want to see her face? Suddenly what happened that changed her father's behaviour towards her?? Why she became the punching bag of her father ? For the past two years she was searching for an answer, and doing everything she could do to gain her father's love and trust back again.
Who would have thought that a girl who desperately wanted to complete her father's dream fails not once but twice still wants to achieve that at any cost be it her own father's wrath or anything.
Being the youngest in the family didn't do any good to her as she was always pressurised to do everything her family told so they wont be dissapointed.
" Kira you already wasted 2 years for clearing the exam still there is no result. Now fill the form of the Community College and get degree because I am not going to waste a single penny over your failure." Her father stated.
She couldn't say anything to her father, just swallowed her dream to go to new city, university, achieve her father's dream which became her in those last 2 years.
All her dreams to explore new things,make new friends will go down the drain with that single statement. She just wanted to live her life like a normal person, a student who gets to decide what he or she wants to do. Why she cant take decision of her life by herself.
She cried and cried and cried the whole night so that no one can see and her mother,brother and sisters wont panic.She dont want to create more problems in her family ,everybody is already tense because She is basically doing nothing in her life.
After one week she decided may be what her father said is right she should just suck up and take admission in community college and move on. May be this way her father finally starts to love her again like once he used to. So she started to fill the admission form but her fingers were stuck at keyboards, the image of going to university is not going away. Everything is going to remain a dream just because She couldn't clear an entrance examination of university.
But then She thought what is she doing this is her life nobody can dictate her what to do or not to so what if She cant clear the entrance examination but she can go to different college and achieve her dream community college is not the only option.But what if her father dosen't allow and force her, what would she do then. She has never denied what her father asked, never went against the rules, dosen't even have confidence to stand against his words.
Then a thought crossed her mind she haa nothing to loose here, either he is going to accept her idea or her future is sealed by his words. She couldn't believe herself that She was going to ask something from her father for the first time in her life. With nervousness and fear she went to her father.
"Father I am not going to community college , I want to go to NewYork for my further studies please let me go there " my tears started to flow , fear gripped me what is he going to do what if....
"You are not allowed to go anywhere just do as I said or forget about the studies and help your mother with household chores no need to even go to community college" he screamed without even looking at her ,didn't even gave her chance to speak anymore.
She sacrificed her own dreams to go for bussiness school and adopted her father's dream to become a doctor, worked hard everyday to clear the exam but couldn't. Everyday she was blamed to not work harder and destroying his dream but never acknowledged for her sleepless nights, sacrifices.
It felt like someone just dumped her in ice cold water . Why her sisters can go to different cities , why her brother was allowed to do what he wanted. Why is this happening to her only is it not her right to do what she wanted to do.
Feeling so lost and unable to hold her tears she ran to the backyard, sitting and crying over her destiny in dark with so many unanswered questions.Her shattered dreams at her feet cursing to god blaming herself for not trying littel harder , nothing is left for her .
"why god , why , wasn't my sufferings enough that the only hope and dream got snatched away from me?"
"Don't cry this is not the end of the world" her elder brother told her looking into her hollow eyes.
If you are going to give up after trying for 2 years that will all be in vain. There is going to be many more hurdles in your way of dreams because life is not always fair to you. It does not serve everything in silver platter instead you have to keep trying untill you achieve what you want. So dont loose hope just now ."
Her anger got the best out of her and she screamed loudly,"How am I suppose to do that tell me, father is hell bent to do what he wants, how am I not suppose to give up when my life's decision is taken by him without my consent".
"Don't worry about that you are going to the college of your choice I will make sure of that. You just get yourself ready for your future" Her brother told her and left.
She was left shell shocked, is he telling the truth? Will she get the chance to go to NewYork?? She just couldn't believe that, feeling like a bird who got new wings.
Maybe now everything is going to be fine and she will achieve her dream , will make new friends and is not going to repeat her past mistakes. Things will be finally going to be right nothing can go wrong now when her brother is with her.
