Summary

I grew up being a twin, and the oldest of four children. My mother thinks she’s a good mom but doesn’t understand how she’s the bad guy. I stopped being a teenager and turned into a babysitter for my younger siblings at the age of 12.

I hope she never grows up anxiety-ridden and low self-esteem as I did.

I hope she never gets told she’s not wanted at home anymore as I did.

I hope she never gets kicked out as I did.

I hope she never gets slapped for telling the truth as I did.

I hope she never gets screamed at for something she didn’t do or had no control over as I did.

I hope she never has to deal with stress so bad she gets sick as I do.

I hope she gets to be a teenager and be invited to parties and make friends the way I never got to.

I hope she gets to make her dreams come true.

I hope she never has to move away to get away from the yelling as I did.

I hope she never has to be forced to go to the gym and lose weight as I did.

I hope she never gets called fat and lazy as I did.

I hope she never has to starve herself to feel pretty like I did.

I hope she never gets called a “feminist rat” as I did.

I hope she’s happy with what she does.

I hope she never has to feel bad about not wanting to go home as I do.

I hope she never has to cry from being yelled at by our parents as I did.

I hope she gets protected by her older brother like I never got to.

I hope she never has to be called a guinea pig by being the oldest like me and my twin did.

I hope she never gets the feeling of being less important than her siblings like I did.

I hope she never cries herself to sleep as I do.

I hope she never has to feel abused and broken as I do.

I hope she gets the life I should have had.
