The beginning
She ran through the trees as fast as she could. The sirens in the distance were calling her. She felt every part of her was panicked and she found herself lost. The adrenaline pumping through her caused her vision to blur and the world around her to slow down. She felt like she wasnt running fast enough, and yet she was losing energy. Kaitlyn tried to remember if she was running towards the sirens or away from them. Nothing seemed more important than running in that moment so that's exactly what she did. She kept going until she couldnt anymore.
She stopped suddenly, allowing her breath to catch up to her as though it were miles away.
The sirens were getting closer, but she couldnt tell what direction they were in. As her mind fought with her body to just run, she heard someone call out her name. The voice seemed to drag out her name in an eerie song-like hiss.
"Kaitlynnnn"
She began wondering if it was someone who could help. Hoping that was the case she turned to the direction of the voice.
Kaitlyn took a step back in horror as she took in a girls decaying features. Her eyes were sunk into her skull and her lips were covered in dry blood and discolored. The girls hair was unhealthy and grayish brown. Her skin wasnt much better looking. At its thin, yellowy green looking state, Kaitlyn could see the girl wasnt well.
She notices something has been dripping onto the ground below the girl. As she switches her focus to the strange sound, her eye catches the scary amount of blood trickling from between the girls thighs.
Kaitlyn was concerned for the girl but soon realized the entire time she had been standing there, the girl hadn't even blinked or moved once.
Kaitlyn was beginning to get freaked out and breathed out quickly "who are you? Where am I? And how did you-"
The girls face turned into a frown and she furrowed her brow. Kailtyn stopped asking questions then. The girl loudly breathed in a sharp breath through her gritted teeth and let out an ear piercing scream. Her face contorted into strange positions and every part of Kaitlyn regretted stopping.
Kaitlyn took a second step back to begin running again. She felt her heel come into contact with something hard. She flailed and reached for something to grab onto as she tumbled. She caught some leaves from a bush but they broke off easily in her harsh grasp. As soon as the tree trunk came into view, everything went dark for Kaitlyn.
