The Girl Who Lived
Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last people you’d expect to be involved in anything strange or mysterious because they just didn’t hold with such nonsense.
Mr. Dursley was the director of a firm called Grunnings, which made drills. He was a big, beefy man with hardly any neck, although he did have a very large mustache. Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbors. The Dursleys had a small daughter called Dot and in their opinion, there was no finer girl anywhere.
The Dursleys had everything they wanted, but they also had a secret, and their greatest fear was that someone would discover it.
Little did they know that a plot was in action this very day...
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves, let’s start with the day before.
It was October 31 when He showed up, the Potter’s had just brought their daughter, Holly, home after trick or treating. Lily took her half-asleep daughter upstairs as James followed behind. Lily was singing ‘Will The Sun Ever Shine Again’ softly to Holly as the doorbell rang
“I’ll get it,” James tells her before he kissed his daughter’s forehead, “I love you, my little angel,” He kissed his wife on the cheek then went to get the door. Lily smiled down at her little girl as she sang to her again when she heard her husbands yell from downstairs. She placed Holly in her crib then went to check, she got to the stairs only to stop at the sight of James on the floor dead. She gave a yell but quickly covered her mouth and ran back to Holly’s room. Slamming the door on the killer, she grabbed her now crying, child.
’The breath of life
And the light of my mind
Creates an enchantment
Of protection and comfort
As the air I breathe is purified I surround my loved one with an orb of gold
This golden haze
Is constantly purified
And separated from any negativity
May my child be protected’
She kissed Holly on the forehead, sending a golden glow around her.
“I love you, micul meu Fawn,” She placed Holly in her crib as the door burst open, Lily didn’t have enough time to react before
“Avada Kedavra!” And just like that Lily Potter was gone. The dark figure moved into the room and looked at Holly, “Avada Kedavra!" As the spill left his wand a gold orb surrounded Holly, pushing the spill back hitting its caster instead. Making him cry out in pain, he vanished as Holly cried from the sharp pain from her forehead, where a scar had formed from the spill.
