Chapter Two
The Haddonfield Halloween Festival was hosted in the town square opposite from the old Haddonfield Swimming Centre and Cinema. Loud music played from the speakers, people roamed and socialized with each other. Lindsey Wallace, now 48 year old mother of two attended with her son and daughter, Christy and Daniel Wallace. Her husband, Matthew Richard's had passed away 2 years ago and she returned to her maiden name, Wallace. Lindsey was a slim women, she had long black hair that hung down over her shoulders. She wore a white plain shirt, a black unzipped jacket and a pair of denim shorts that had been cut from a pair of regular jeans by Lindsey during the previous summer. She had black boots on with pink socks that were just below her knee. On her right wrist was a small faded tattoo of a bird. "Do you two want to go ride on the Ferris Wheel?" Lindsey asked as she walked her two kids around the rides, the Mayor of Haddonfield made sure rides were supplied yearly for the festival because children often attended. They smiled nodded and ran off as Lindsey smiled, chasing after them. "Go on ahead, I'll get you some food!" She smiled and watch them go onwards.
A man brushed past her. She hardly noticed. She continued talking with the owner of the stall as her kids lined up for the Ferris Wheel, as she paid the gentlemen. She turned her head and watched as the kids climbed into the first cart and waved her down. She smiled and walked towards her kids with the food as she handed them the food and climbed in, she turned and looked across the crowd and saw the same man standing there. He was wearing a stained dirty pair of coveralls and his brown hair was messy from the back. She climbed on and he turned his head and looked to the side. It was The Shape. The Shape had managed to drag himself from the dark bush land of Haddonfield, all the way from Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. His hand had stopped bleeding and the wounds scattered across his body had eased on the bleeding, dirt and dried blood covered the wounds. The Shape, now back in Haddonfield stood amongst a large crowd of people who paid no attention to him. He heard shouting from behind him, he turned and looked up at the Ferris Wheel where a young family dangled at the top after another person wanted to get on. The mother laughed while the kids cried. The Shape turned back and walked off across the open area. The sound of a TV in the distance and the name of Michael Myers stopped him. A new report regarding the breakout during the transfer, Michael still hadn't reach Haddonfield. He kept going, he walked slowly through the crowd. He reached outwards and wrapped his dirty fingers around the wooden handle of a large kitchen knife as he moved past a food stall. He held it by his side and vanished into the crowd. Lindsey and her children were soon back on the groun, her kids leapt around and gathered their things and began striding home. The town was peaceful, cars were all parked up and down the streets and nobody was out walking with their kids. The night was still young, only just over 10:00PM. Lindsey reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone, unlocking it and turning on the torch on, allowing it to guide them home. They cut across the park and unfortunately for Lindsey her kids came across the play equipment and ran towards it. She chased after them, they laughed and yelled as they climbed on the swings.
"Okay! Ten minutes!"
Back at the festival, The Shape set his sights on a young blonde male who was approaching the toilet block quietly. He was dressed in a black suit; his hair was slicked back and he was talking on an older touch device. He walked into the bathroom and The Shape followed. The sheer need to kill was controlling him. The Shape held the knife tightly in his hand as he approached the boy. When he looked up into the mirror of the dirty bathroom he gasped, turned and dropped his device on the floor. It bounced into the corner; the screen cracked but remained functional. The Shape shoved him back into the sink, he hooked his spin on the large sink and cried out in pain. The Shape lifted the blade and the boy shot to the side as he stabbed at him, the blade struck the mirror and shattered the glass sending sharp shards across the floor. The boy hit floor and clawed at the glass, he grabbed a shard but The Shape stepped on his wrist and forced him to release it. He cried out for help, The Shape reached down and wrapped his hand in his hair and pulled him up, chucking him into the stall on the left. He walked in; the boy was pinned against the toilet pleading for help. He kicked at The Shape violently. His nose began to leak, his eyes filled with tears as The Shape sliced at his skin. "What the fuck?" The Shape turned and looked at the entrance. An older man was standing there with a shocked look on his face. He noticed the knife and backed away, the boy in the stall began screaming. He dived out but The Shape quickly responded by attacking the onlooker. It was a quick scuffle, their limbs tore at each other as the boy tried to run past, but The Shape stabbed at him with the blade. It wedged within his back and he arched his back and dropped down in pain. The older man was thrown down and The Shape lifted his boot up and then stomped down onto his skull with all his strength.
"No please" cried out the boy as he crawled across the dirty bathroom floor towards the exit, he was close to being seen by the public. The Shape grabbed ahold of him, taking the knife and removing it from his back as he threw him in the darkest corner of the bathroom. The remains of the old man's corpse was right in front of him, his skull was splashed against the titled flooring as blood pooled around him. The Shape towered above him and raised the knife as he began to stab him repeatedly, each stab more powerful and brutal than the last. "Help-", his mouth parted and blood spewed outwards. His eyes rolled as the life left his body. The Shape lifted the knife from his deceased corpse and stood above him. He looked down at his kill, turned and looked at his device that was still functional, a name kept flashing. Deckard. He looked back and observed the bodies, moving both into a toilet stall as he folded them in unimaginable ways, hiding them away from the public. The Shape walked out of the bathroom and moved across the festival between two stalls, vanishing into the darkness. He left the grounds and headed in the same direction as Lindsey Wallace and her family went. Lindsey stood at the swings with her phone torch on as she watched her kids swing back and forth w hen she heard a twig snap behind her, causing her to turn around quickly. Unaware to her as the night had gotten colder, she knew something was out there. Watching her from behind the shadows. She turned to the right and dropped her phone as a figure came towards her, she screamed loudly and jumped back out of fear.
