CH.1
Brooklyn an 18 year old girl with long brown hair and silver eyes was walking at night in a quiet area in New York City.
“No mom, dad doesn’t need to drop me off...wait-Mom just listen! I’ll be just fine my apartment is only 2 blocks away...okay I will...I love you too.” Brooklyn hung up and sighed in relief.
After a few minutes of walking, she stopped at an eerie abandoned construction site and looked up at the unfinished building.
“I remember when they announced that this was going to be a new World Trade Center but all of a sudden they stopped because the abnormal creatures have been spotted here.” Brooklyn thought.
She spotted something shining really bright on one of the floors and decided to go up there.
“This is probably really stupid…” She muttered, looking around for anyone and climbing over the fence.
The construction site was ominous and the pitch black night sky didn’t make it any better, the only light around were the dim street lights and the mysterious light she was heading to..
As Brooklyn walked into the abandoned building she turned on her phone’s camera light and started making her way to the mysterious light.
After a couple minutes of accidentally tripping on tools left behind or other scraps. She walked up to the light and all of a sudden it shined brighter when Brooklyn crouched down and reached for it.
She squinted turning off her camera light, and grabbing whatever was emitting this bright light that was almost blinding.
In a matter of seconds, the light was very dim but enough that Brooklyn could still see what it was…
It was a big feather but it was the colors of a rainbow. Her face read disappointment and confusion.
“I came up all this way...for a damn glowing feather?! It probably belongs to one of those abnormal creatures!” She shouted and dropped the feather heading back down but froze when she heard a loud growl coming from behind her…
She quickly turned around but there was nothing there, she then looked up but again there was nothing there…
She sighed in relief, “Probably just my imagination…” but when she turned back around a giant red eye was piercing through her soul.
The feather started shining again and Brooklyn saw it’s full body, it was a creature with long arms and claws but had short legs and a large body.
She let out a bloodcurdling scream and somehow moved out the way and ran down the steps when the creature roared and slashed at Brooklyn….
Rev an 18 year old boy with long red hair and rose red eyes was holding a black duffel bag. He looked anxious and couldn’t stop moving around.
“Where the hell is Dmitri?” Rev muttered and his heartbeat started to increase when two fit cops walked up to him.
“It sure is pretty late to be outside with a duffel bag?” One of the officer’s aid, shining a light on the bag and Rev chuckled awkwardly.
The other one who had a black hat and glared at Rev. “Son we’re gonna take you to the station and you’re gonna answer some questions for us.”
“Officer I don’t really have the time I have...homework?” Rev said and threw the duffel bag over his shoulder.
“Son...it’s summer, there is no homework for you to be doing.” The officer with the black hat said.
Rev took a deep breath and dashed away from the officers as fast as he could but they weren’t far behind him.
“Kid stop or we’ll be forced to shoot!” One of the officers yelled.
“What do they mean shoot?...they haven’t proven I’ve done something illegal.” He thought and they all heard screaming and loud roars coming from an abandoned construction site.
He looked back at the cops and in a quick motion there was a small burst of fire under him and he jumped high over the fence and ran into the building.
The cops cursed and slowly climbed over the fence and ran after him.
Brooklyn hid behind a pile of debris and was breathing hard. She peeked around and saw the creature looking around for her.
“Would you stop breathing so hard? You’re gonna get us caught.” Somebody whispered to her.
She jumped slightly and turned to see Rev also peeking around for the cops totally ignoring the fact that there’s a huge abnormal creature nearby.
“Who the hell are you?” Brooklyn whispered.
Rev shushed her and kept peeking around.
“Did you just shush me?” She asked, slightly annoyed.
“Yes because I’m trying not to get caught and you whisper just a bit too loud.” Rev responded, getting slightly annoyed as well.
“I’m trying not to get caught as well! Are you not aware of the huge abnormal creature?!” Brooklyn said, whisper-yelling.
“What are you talking about?! Why are you yelling?! Better question why are you even up here?!” Rev whisper-yelled back.
“I am not yelling!” She yelled a little bit louder.
“You are clearly yelling!” He whisper-yelled at the same volume as her.
All of a sudden, the rainbow feather appeared in Brooklyn’s closed hand and shining brighter than ever.
“Crap!” She shouted
The creature jumped on the debris they were hiding behind and tried grabbing both of them but they rolled out of the way.
There were two loud gunshots and the creature dropped to the ground, blue blood was leaking out.
“Make sure that thing is dead! Now as for you red head. Stop resisting arrest!” The cop with the black hat shouted, and pointed his gun at Rev who had his hands up.
“I’m not even resisting arrest! What are you talking about?!” Rev shouted, but the cop quickly grabbed him and slammed him down on the concrete floor and put his knee on his neck.
“How does this you feel abnormal? This is what you deserve.” The cop said and Brooklyn’s eyes widened.
“Get off him!” She tried pulling him off but the other cop aimed at her.
“Don’t put your hands on a cop miss! Or I’ll be forced to shoot!” He shouted.
Rev was slowly passing out, and the cop on his neck put handcuffs on him but he stayed on his neck.
“Alright almost...just go to sleep abnormal..” The cop said and Rev closed his eyes…
All of a sudden the abnormal creature got up and swiped so hard at the cop aiming at Brooklyn that he went flying into another building.
The other cop got off Rev’s neck and started shooting at the creature but it just grabbed his gun and crushed it, then it slammed the cop on the ground with so much force that he went through the floor.
Brooklyn sighed in relief but fell to the ground when the creature who was fueled by anger glared at her and started rushing at her.
Just before he could get to her, Rev put a giant silver cylinder device in it’s jaws to stop it but he was still getting pushed back.
Brooklyn grabbed the pistol one of the cops dropped and shot at the device and it immediately made a huge explosion of ice which knocked both of them off the floor they were on but Rev was able to grab Brooklyn and break her fall…
Rev groaned in pain and looked up at Brooklyn who was on top of him. “T..thank you…”
“Your welcome...but you can get off of me now…” Rev said in a weak voice.
…
“Oh sorry!” She quickly got off him and helped him up but Rev could barely stand up by himself and he just dropped back to the ground, breathing extremely hard.
“You must be really hurt and exhausted...I’ll take you to my apartment.” Brooklyn said and she picked him up and carried him on her back.
“Thank you…” Rev muttered and he passed out.
