Chapter 1

If you ask me, the last person I ever wanted help from was Octavius Taylor, an annoying egotistical pretty boy with way to much money. But apparently is doesn't matter what I want because if it did. He wouldn't be standing in front of me, scaring off some piece of shit bullies, while I lay defenseless on the forest floor.

I scrunched up some fallen leaves in my hand. I pushed myself up to my feet, letting the dead leaves fall from my hand without much thought. Octavius finally turned towards me with an irritated look.

"You really are a fucking idiot aren't you?" He snapped, his blue eyes scanned me up and down. I scoffed, and ran my hand through my hair, moving some brown strands from my face.

"Well I didn't ask for your fucking help," I growled back, "In fact I didn't want it, I was fine,"

"Fine?" Octavius asked, "You were getting the shit kicked out of you by four guys how the fuck were you fine?" He raised his hands a little and quoted 'fine'.

"Because none of the four guys were you," I answered crossing my arms over my chest, He mumbled something under his breath that I didn't catch.

"You are a narcissistic asshole," Octavius retorted a look of disgust resting on his face.

"Yep that's me," I answered, "And you are an egotistical pretty boy and the only reason people even like you is because you have money," I retaliated.

"Thanks," Octavius forced smile onto his face.

"Fuck off," I snapped, turning on my heals.

"Your Welcome," He said, "Damn Princess," I heard him mumble under his breath. I turned back around and grabbed his collar, pushing him against a nearby tree.

"Don't call me that," I growled, a grimacing expression passes across Octavius's face. I tighten my grip on his shirt. But even with the grimace, his eyes glared daggers into mine.

"Or What?" He asked, I thought I saw amusement in his eyes but it disappeared with the setting sun...wait!

I averted my eyes as I saw the last of the sun fall behind the mountain, we were both left in a cold darkness. The only sound and movements were that of the forest around us. The soft wind blew Octavious's red hair into his face. Even thought I wasn't staring at him, I could feel his icy blue eyes on me. My hands relaxed and fell, at the realization...I was lost in the forest at night.

"What's wrong?" Octavius asked, I turned my attention back to the taller teenager. Feeling my mouth go dry at the thought of tell him.

"I don't like the dark," I mumbled softly, Octavius made a popping sound with his mouth.

"Wait the dark and brooding Zyair," Octavius paused to push the smile off his face, "Is scared of the dark?" I took a giant step away from Octavius.

"I am not brooding," I snapped.

"Well, I mean," Octavius bounced his hands up and down, like he was weighing the options, "Yes...Yes you are," He stopped talking again, "In fact I thought you were like a vampire, rude, dark, brooding, slept in a coffin...pale," He paused before adding 'pale'.

"Whatever I'm going home," I said, looking around all the directions seemed the same to me. "Where are we?"

"I don't know," Octavius straightened his shirt and leaned against the tree, "I followed you," His calm attitude was irritating me.

"Followed me?" I asked, "Why the fuck would you follow me?" I stuff my hands into the pocket of my black jeans.

"Because I saw you walking into the forest and got suspicious," Octavius said, all nonchalantly. I scoffed and looked around again like it would have changed or I remembered something with no avail.

"Fucking stalker," I grumbled. Octavius shrugged his shoulders. "How the hell are you so calm?"

"Because I could care less about being lost," Octavius said, "My dad has enough money to hire an entire army to look for me so, meh," Octavius gives me a devilish smile.

"I am gonn-" I pause when I feel something land on me, and again. Progressively it started to pour on to the both of us. "Fuuuuck," I yelled at the sky, as the droplets of water land on my face, a slightly cold breeze blew along with the shower of rain.

"Well it seems our situation got a lot worse then I was expecting," The red head states, I look back at him.

"Thanks Captain of the Fucking obvious," I yell at him, he rolls his eyes.

"Well what should we do?" He asks

"Oh right," I said giving him an fake smile of realization, "Let me get out my book on what to do when you fucking lost and the fucking rain is giving us a cold shower," I paused, "Oh wait I forgot it with the rest of my camping books like how to get lost with a piece of shit douche bag?" I clench my jaw in anger, as Octavius gives me a confused look.

"I have never heard of that before," He said. I bring my hand up and facepalm, which makes a loud slapping sound.

"You are such a fucking idiot," I shook my head, my palm still resting on my forehead. I look to my left and notice the foot prints of the guys from before. "I guess this way," I wasn't to sure about it but walking was better then standing there like two hippies or something like that.

"Lead the way," Octavius said.

"Fucking asshole," I insulted before following the footsteps, the longer we walked the harder the rain got, we seemed to get more lost and more wet as the night went one.

"Be careful it's slippery," Octavius said as we walked past a deep incline, I watched my footing as I carefully walked on top of the hill. "You okay?" He asked, I heard a slit of sincerity in his voice that threw me off a little.

"Why do you care?" I asked not trusting his words.

"Sorry I forgot you are a diva," He apologized in a very rude manner. I scoffed but before I could say anything I felt my foot slip. "Zyair!" Octavius called.
