Chapter 1. A golden opportunity
It was the last day of school, High School had come to an end and that means everyone has to find their ideal careers.
—Marinette, have you chosen a school yet?.—Mylenne asked.
—Yes, a few days ago Audrey came to see me ... and offered me to go study fashion in New York.— Marinette replied.
—Are you leaving?.— Rose asked this time with a sad voice.
—Fashion is my life, and if I have to go to achieve my dream, then I will.—
—You do right, after all that is what you will do all your life, I support you girl.— Alya encouraged.
—When are you leaving?.—Alix asked.
—In two days.—
—Well... Let’s have a farewell party! .—Rose suggested.
—Sounds great, let’s celebrate our last day together!.—Alya seconded.
—If you want we can do the party at my house. —Juleka offered shyly.
The girls finished planning their meeting and after a long goodbye, each went home.
It was already night and Marinette couldn’t sleep so she went out to her balcony to get some fresh air.
Having spent most of the afternoon packing her things had left her exhausted.
—You look worried, is something wrong Marinette? .—Tikki asked, noticing that something seemed to wander in the mind of its wearer.
Even though the crime level in Paris had dropped considerably thanks to Hawkmoth being defeated, Master Fu allowed Marinette to keep her Miraculous.
—It’s nothing Tikki, I guess it’s the nerves. In two days we will be somewhere else quite far from here. —Marinette replied trying to convince Tikki that this was the real reason.
— I guess humans get excited about new things, you still shouldn’t think about it that much. I’m sure everything will be fine. — Encourage the little kwami.
Time passed and Marinette has been left alone, Tikki was sleeping in her bag.
The weather was cold, the wind began to blow taking some dry leaves and flower petals with it.
Marinette wished that the wind could also carry away those thoughts that flooded her mind, but it seemed that instead of being light leaves they were heavy anchors that clung to the walls of her brain.
She took his cell phone looking at the time, took a few seconds to rethink what she was about to do, it was quite night so it would possibly only bother ... but she really needed to talk to someone about it.
Tikki was good at giving advice and the blue-haired knew she could trust her ... but she was not human, she would not understand the situation she is going through.
1...2....3...4
—Hello? .—A somewhat sleepy female voice came from the other end of the line.
—Alya, it’s me Marinette.—She replied somewhat sorry for waking up her best friend.
—Marinette, I’m sorry, I answered without seeing the number. Is something wrong girl? It’s two at the morning.—Alya asked with a certain tone of concern, since she was surprised that her friend called so late.
—No, it’s just ... nevermind, you better forget it, sorry for calling you so late. — Marinette had regretted that call, if she told her what was happening, Alya would probably get angry and call her immature.
—Girl, you woke me up, the crime is done, now tell me! .—The brunette started, making it clear to the blue-haired girl that she would not escape from that situation.
Marinette took a deep breath before releasing those words, a tingle ran through her body as she reviewed what she would say in her mind.
—I don’t know what to do with Adrien. — Blurted out.
There was a brief silence, Marinette could hear Alya let out a big sigh, probably preparing for a long sermon, one that she definitely needed.
—Excuse me girl but we need the opinion of the Queen Bee. — Alya said announcing the inclusion of the blonde.
In a matter of seconds, the aspiring model was connected to the call.
—I hope it’s a life or death thing.—Chloe warned annoyed at being awakened so suddenly.
—It’s “that” again. — Alya said hinting at the subject.
—Oh “that”. Really, after so many years you are still with that crush?.— Asked the blonde
—It’s not something that can be overcome so easily, Adrien really stayed in my heart all this time and I don’t know if I can get him out.— She answered honestly.
Another silence occurred, this was longer and announced bad news.
—I need to tell you something.—Chloe said in a tone that worried the girl a lot.
