The Realization
I woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. I dreamt that I was a different person, and had to marry someone I hated. I looked at my alarm clock and it was 2:45 in the morning. I went back to sleep. I woke up to the sound of my brother listening to loud guitar music. "Can you please turn it down!!" I yelled. He did turn the music down for a few minutes then turned it back up.
I got up and dressed in a plain white shirt and jeans. I then grabbed my brush and brushed my long, black hair. I went downstairs to make my breakfast. I got made myself a piece of toast with jam, eggs, and some bacon. I didn't notice what day it was and almost missed the school bus. At school, I had to take three tests and do 5 exams.
When I got home, I started my homework. I also had to study for final exams. "Angelica, Grover it's time for dinner" my mom called.
We went downstairs and sat at the dining table. "I have a surprise for you two," she told us.
"On Saturday we're going over to the next packhouse and visiting the alpha, beta, luna, and their kids".
"So?" I said.
"You might find your mates." mom said.
I froze. The next packhouse had the kids I absolutely hated.
"But mom, you know those kids are mean," I said.
"Oh it's gonna be fine, don't worry," mom said.
As I went to bed, I thought of the idea of marrying one of them. "They probably don't like me either," I thought. I went to sleep, thinking of realizing one of them was my mate.
