In the early '60s, a group of thirteen to sixteen-year-old kids from the west side of Detroit, cross paths and match wits with some of the most interesting people of their time. Whether it is Fidel Castro, Stevie Wonder, Lee Iacocca, or midget wrestlers with a money-making, wrestling bear named Molly, the gang uses spunk and creativity to foil their enemies and help friends. Their fun and antics come to an abrupt halt when one of the gang is murdered along with seven members of the Detroit Mafia. Neglect and incompetency by the Detroit Police lead the investigation to the “cold case” file. The only girl member of the gang refuses to accept this outcome. With the help of other gang members and a retired homicide detective, Nola leads the investigation to successfully identifying the bizarre murderers and their motives. You'll turn the pages faster and faster to find out how they handle each adventure and mystery, from innocent hi-jinx to crooked government officials to solving a mass murder.
