A sky painted of the rainbow

Ever since that day, my life couldn't get any better.

It started one sunny afternoon, when I was taking a stroll on the beach. I enjoyed this feeling: my brown leather sandals sinking into the sand with every step I took, and the wind whistling soft music through my long hazel hair. I looked around and smiled at the sea of happy faces.

It was then, I heard a soft voice calling my name. I turned around, but saw no one. The second time, it got louder. Panic erupted through me. Feeling goosebumps all over my skin, I crossed my arms keeping my white shawl wrapped around me. The third time, I ran frightened of what was calling my name. I tried screaming for help, but nothing came out of my sore throat. Until I have gotten tired, I was panting next to a cave. Seeing no one else, I collapsed on the sand and wept.

There, I sat still, waiting for that moment to come.

Waiting for the anonymous voice to haunt me again.

Waiting for another run.

Right there at that moment, a tall shadow stood in front of me. Because of the sunset, all I saw was a dark image, but I could tell it was a young lady. “Felix”, a soft ghostly voice spoke from the mouth of the young lady. It didn't take me a minute to figure who this mysterious lady was. My tears spilled like pouring rain onto the soft sand.

“MOMMA!” I cried, hugging her legs, not wanting to let go. “It's okay, kiddo.” She patted my head with her soft warm hand. “Look at me, I want to see how beautiful you've become.” She whispered. Obeying her, I looked up into her blue eyes. These eyes reminded me of the ocean in the beach I was in.

“I want you to know, that no matter where you are, I'll be by your side.” I cried even harder, holding on to her for dear life. “No matter what you become, I’ll always love you.” By now, she was wiping the tears on my cheeks. “And no matter what decision you choose, I’ll always be the one to support you.”

She bent down so that our eyes met on the same level. “You’ll always be my baby piglet.” My momma always called me piglet as I ate a lot. To that memory, I laughed. “Now there you are, smile more, don't cry.” As she said this, she held my hands. “Be good, let momma be proud of you.” Just like that she let go of my hands and pointed at the sky, “The day you were born, the sky was this beautiful.” I could tell what she meant, the sky was rarely painted with all of the colours of the rainbow.

When I looked back, she was gone. I got up and turned to every direction, calling her name. Out of my breath, I rested my hands on my knees.

Was that just a dream, or was it real?

Either way, I stood, and smiled at the sky, knowing that my momma was watching over me.

virgie: Dane was the dream come true. Luna was too young to understand the mate bond. Dane was patient. The fact that she looked similar to his first love was a distraction. Thanks for the entertainment.

Evtida: It was a very sweet story, but it felt rushed. It didn't really convey the emotions. For example, when the girl was kidnapped, instead of panicking, going crazy, and causing a scene, giving in felt strange... His exaggerated relationship with his gay friend was also odd in my opinion.

Angela: A good story so far. I like Amora's character and the ideas such as, Aiden taken power over the pack and stripping Amora of her title. The drama around how Aiden tortured Amora carving his name into her skin was dramatic which I liked. Gave the story some substance. When Aiden captures Amora and beg...
