Sad but intriguing so far

"This is a very different take on Darcy and Elizabeth's marriage. I can certainly understand Darcy having past mistresses, and I'm glad to see the author address the inevitable children that would result from those relationships. Everyone else seems to gloss over that subject, but at age 28, if he'd been sexually active for a decade or so without much in the way of birth control, he'd have kids. What bothered me is that Darcy kept his latest mistress under contract and on hold while marrying Elizabeth. It didn't even seem to occur to him that this was wrong. That conflicts with the sense of morality we usually see designated to his character, and like Elizabeth, I can't reconcile myself with that. Still, I'm curious to see where the author takes this story and hope for the best. Thanks for sharing this with us!"
