Something New
I watched out of the window as the last glimpse of my old home fade away. I knew this was the right decision but somehow it still felt wrong, it was always my dream to live in New York and live out the dream life my dad always wanted for me. Leaving my mother behind however, was the easiest part of this whole experience. After dad passed, she was never the same and we slowly went from a tight-knit family to barely speaking to each other. Luckily for me dad left me enough money to be able to live comfortably in my new home and start my business. I had started my event planning business three years prior after my fathers passing, it took off and soon it out-grew my small town home and we had many offers from big brands in events planning in the city so it only made sense for me and my small team to move there. I had already interviewed my new employees which were going to add to my team to create the vision I had in my mind. After a plane ride that seemed to drag on for an eternity I arrived in New York and was ready for my new venture in this cut-throat city.
