"Hello?"

Luna's dreamy voice called. The blonde haired girl has been talking to the grey lady , when the ghost mentioned a crying boy in the girls bathroom. She expected it to be some lost first year , not Malfoy. She didn't really understand why her friends didn't like him. He was just misunderstood.

When she saw him standing over the sink , she walked over to him and smiled softly.

"Hello , Draco."

Draco couldn't fight his tears anymore. It has been the third time in a week where he had to run to the girls bathroom to break down. He didn't want anyone to find out. They wouldn't understand. While all his house mates were pretty much 'innocent' students , he was a death eater. No one would understand how he felt. Why he did it. Why he /had/ to do it. At first he thought it was going to be fun. But he couldn't kill his own headmaster. He couldn't kill anyone. He liked to act as if he managed to do everything. He wanted to impress everyone. His friends , Pansy and mostly his Parents. Lucius , his father , was sent to azkaban a few months ago , so he had to take his place. But it was stressing him. He was failing. And failing meant , he won't see his father again.

When he heard Luna's voice , he looked up and frowned when he saw her in the mirror. He jumped around and glared over at her ,crossing his arms.

"What do you want , Loony?!"

He didn't want her to see that he was crying. Not her anyway.

Luna frowned gently and walked over to him ,wrapping her small arms around the blonde boy. She always thought hugging was the best way to make people feel better. So , she kept hugging him , even though he fought against it. Luna wanted him to feel better. She never liked it when people were sad.

Draco shuddered when the younger girl wrapped her arms around him. He hasn't been hugged for a while , so he wasn't used to it. He didn't like that feeling at all. It made him feel weird. It was the sort of feeling he always got with his mother.

After a while , he breathed in deeply and stopped fighting against the hug. He leaned against her and closed his eyes , still breathing in and out deeply. But then he realized what he was doing and pushed her away lightly.

"T-Thank you , Loo..Luna."

He smiled slightly and looked down at his feet.

He hasn't been smiling since his father got locked away and even though some girls tried it , no one has managed it. Not even Pansy. Nor his best friends Blaise , Crabbe , Goyle or Theo.

From that moment on, Draco had spent a lot of time with Luna. Of course they always went to the Room of Requirements. Draco didn't want anyone to find out about it. He didn't even know what it was. He felt better whenever she was around. The blonde goof ball managed to make him feel good again, after everything that happened. Draco didn't even have to talk. They usually just sat there, their arms wrapped around each other. But Draco couldn't stay silent forever. He had already poisoned and nearly killed Katie Bell, and while she had to go to St. Mungos, Draco actually felt guilty.

"I can't go on like this, Luna. I don't want to do this anymore. "

He didn't tell her what he did. He didn't even tell her what he was. But Luna knew. She had found out a few days after their first hug. She had seen the dark mark and the huge wooden thing, Draco had worked on. She didn't know what it was, but it didn't seem like it belonged there. She didn't want to tell on him though. Draco was already feeling bad enough. As long as no one was dying, Luna didn't say anything. And like her, Draco seemed lonely and misunderstood.

"Everything will be fine, Draco. I promise. I'm here for you."

Her voice was gentle and calm. Like his mother's voice. Draco had gotten used to the blonde's presence in the last couple of weeks. Before Luna appeared, he had spent time with Moaning Myrtle, but Luna was much better. He had also started to feel different about her. He defended her when hís housemates started talking about her and whenever he saw her, he couldn't help but smile. His friends were already thinking he was weird, so they wouldn't find out that he was actually starting to fall in love with Luna Lovegood.
