Elina's POV
My alarm went off.I woke up and saw the time on the clock. It said 3am.
Yeah you might think why would I wake up so early? Well I have to make food to 500 pack members. This is my daily routine and if I didn't make it by 7 am........... I don't even want to talk about it.
You might think how did I end up like this. Well you see my parents were alpha and luna of this pack. One day I asked them to bring chocolate syrup from the market while they were coming from their meeting. They stopped at the store. Little did they know that the store was filled with rouges. They were killed. I cried so much that day. And that was the day they started beating me up.
'They' as in my brother, Luke and his best friend ,Mark along with all the other pack members. After they died my brother was supposed to be the alpha but the beta had some other plans.
He challenged my brother for alpha position and my brother lost it. Of course this was to happen as he was in grief of our parent's death. Having pity over and due to his alpha blood he was made the alpha.
Something changed in him that day. He was no my brother who played with me ,who gave me piggy back rides.
He blamed me for all the things.He didn't even allow me to come to the funeral. I wanted to see them just last time. He didn't let me.
I saw from my window the entire funeral. I ran to my bed and cried myself to sleep. That night the door of my room slammed open. I saw my brother with complete black eyes and he hit me so much that I passed out. He was supposed to calm me down. They were my parents too. Even I was grieving.
I was demoted to omega. And the torture never ended.
But one thing that made me get up and look forward for something everyday was Blake.
Blake is my best friend and also a omega. He was banished from his last pack because he was not a shifter just like me and it was really shameful especially for a alpha's son to not have a werewolf.
My father found him shivering in the forest. He was beaten badly. He was then brought into our pack officially. My parents were very found of him. We hit it off immediately.
There was soft knock on my door which interrupted my thoughts. A head popped out. It was Blake.
"Hey!Good morning"he said.
"Good morning to you too".
"Now let's go Missy and make the doggies their dog food. "he said. I laughed.
We went to the kitchen and we started making food.
Blake started singing. He had a very beautiful voice. But he was never allowed to sing in the packhouse freely. We omegas were never supposed a utter a single word unless asked to.
"WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT TO NOT SING!! "Alpha Jake's voice boomed.
"Sorry Alpha" he said looking straight into his eyes.
"Sorry doesn't work. You are going to get punished. "he said with venom.
"Nooo!!"I shouted.
Alpha Jake slams Blake into the wall. And punches him in the rib cage. By this time I was sobbing loudly. I couldn't do anything to save him.
"Now that you have learned your lesson go and make breakfast. "Alpha said and left.
I ran towards him. He had blue marks all over his face and definitely one of his ribs was broken.
"Hey hey. Li I am okay. Stop crying."he said softly.He tried to get up. He groaned in pain. Even though he is hurting he is caring about me.
"Shh. Let me help you stand. "I said.
I took him to his room/store room. I laid him down and asked our pack doctor Tia to come check on him.
She told me 3 of his ribs were broken and one of his hand was bruised pretty badly. He will not come with me to school tomorrow.
I started bandaging his hand. Even though doctor Tia had checked on him she was prohibited to help him. Omegas were considered as untouchables. He hissed in pain.
" Sorry" I apologized.
"That's OK! You have already done so much for me. Thank you Li"he spoke softly.
"There is no need to say this. You are my only friend .You are the reason why I have survived this pack. "I said.
"Me too. "he said.
Rest of the Sunday I spent in Blake'sroom. I slept alongside him and waited for the next day to come.
I knew something was going to happen tomorrow and boy was right.
