A Whole New World
Nevaeh's P.O.V
I can't believe I'm finally here. Mars. The dream world. I can start over here, and forget my old horrid past. I step out into the blood red sand. I breathe in the clean refreshing cool air. Peace quickly over takes me. Life seems to pause and slow like a snails point of view as I breathe in the peacefulness of this new planet. Life is good. I open my eyes and look for where I'm supposed to be. I quickly spot a sign that reads my name. Nevaeh Faith, or more specifically, Nevaeh Trinity Faith. The last thing I have left from my family, but that is yet to be told another day.
"I do take it your Ms. Faith. Right this way young lady to start the adventure of a —"
"Skip." I command the droid gently.
"You are living in a small complex. Come with me and I'll show you the way." The droid goes at a steady slow pace letting me stay caught up. We head north from the docks. And yet again I'll say life is good as I stroll to my new home. My new start. My new life. I gently sway my way into this whole new world.
"We are here miss. Now remember report any odd behavior you find. Stay safe, and do not socialize. Socializing causes drama, drama causes trouble, and trouble causes death. Now please, enjoy your new world. Long live Governor Trab." The droid puts their robotic arm up and makes the pledge symbol. A crossing of your middle and ring finger. I nod and enter my little hut like complex. I live in the world of perfection and am leaving behind the haunted Earth.

I shoot up in my bed. It was just a dream. Not reality, a dream. A memory, a horrid memory, but a memory nonetheless. I quickly get up and start to get ready for a brand new day. I quickly strip from my oversized shirt and put on my simple checkered shirt. It had pink, blue, purple, and black with a white background. It literally looked like a chess board on my shirt. I throw on some jeans and head to the bathroom. It's already stalked with makeup and feminine objects. I quickly brush some foundation on my permanent scarring. I looked ugly. And I knew I looked ugly, because back on Earth I was ugly, and ugly doesn't change based on what planet you're on. So I'm ugly on Mars too. I wish stuff like that would change. I'm supposed to be able to start a new life here. To be somebody, but I'll always be a nobody.
Nobody's stay nobody's and you better hope your just born a somebody or you stuck with the nobodies. That's the sad thing though. Nobodies stay nobodies, but a somebody can become a nobody pretty quickly. You just do something wrong or in a unique way and BAM! You're a nobody. Then all the friends you had before, well they're no longer your friends. They don't care if you die in a hole the next day. Your a nobody now.
I count myself kinda lucky now to be a nobody, even though I've gotten to be a somebody, cause I know I have no friends so therefore I won't ever have fake friends. Our rules are simple, well since there is only one. To be introverted. It was like that on Earth too, but not quite as strict as it's said to be here. Back on Earth only the blanks were required to remain introverted, the only reason a blank was of high status was to be a slave of a colored. That's the highest status we had. Those were the somebodies.

I quickly guide myself into the church house. I am to learn who I am to be paired with to procreate. Only the colored were aloud to chose and stay with whom they procreate with, blanks well we got paired with someone, procreated then never saw the other again. The female raised the female child the male raised the male. Then when they reached the age of 16 they were taken to become a citizen and ranked to serve the colored; as a slave, an entertainer, or a pet. I walk up to the droid and state my name and business.
"Nevaeh Trinity Faith, here to claim my part in making the introverted future." I am quickly ushered to a small closet spaced room. It's dark. The lights slowly fade into existence and I see an operation table. A black robe with a single white dot lays on the table. A droid enters the small room from an unknown source.
"Please dress in the robe, and lay on the table." I slowly reach for the bottom of my shirt ready to lift and undress.
"Do I have the privilege to ask a question?" I say timidly. I am scared. Scared to show my scarred, destroyed body to an unliking, non breathing, computerized object that feels nothing. That thinks nothing for itself. It's wires that are controlled by a simple chip made by the Governor Trab that has no will to have an opinion. How stupid of me. To be so self conscious of a droid. A mindless little object that I will merely pass by once this day. I fear for what this droid will think if it sees my disgraceful body. I fear for it to see the scars on my past. But it doesn't see. And I feel dumb. No, I feel extremely pathetic. I am thinking as if I care. I'm not supposed to care about what happens to others, I'm not supposed to care about what they think. I say it's not my fault. We are taught as blanks that we are below the droids but oh how I hope the droid hasn't picked up on my glitch. I pray that the droid doesn't notice my insecure ways and then of blaming a colored for them. I pray and pray and someone must have heard and answered.
"Please cooperate. Dress into the robe and lay on the table."
I do as said. I lift my shirt and loosen my pants. I let both clothing objects fall to the floor. I discard of my undergarments, and I shift my body into the robe. I breathe. I lay on the cold, metal surface, and shift my mind to calming things. Like the breeze slowly blowing through my hair roots. Or the gentle sway the trees make as the squirrels run through their branches. Searching and chattering and finding and living. I put myself on the Colway beaches. I hear the splash of the water. I sing with the whales. I breathe in the humid air that cleanse my airways. And I feel the sun simply gaze on my skin. And I feel peace. I feel alive, but I feel calm. Tranquil. I feel a small prick at my neck and pull myself back to reality. I'm bound. I have straps on my feet, my arms, my midsection. All strapping me as a prisoner to this damn table. This cold, bone chilling surface, that licks at my bare back. And bites my bare skin. I shudder. I close my eyes and drift into darkness.
