The cyclone
Once upon a time there lived a girl called Benila. She was very pretty and cute, her kind nature attracted everyone. Her parents told her that she had grown up, and it's her time to get married. Benila answered her parents "anything as your wish." Her parents searched alliance for her and at last they decided for her wedding with a handsome young man 'Ben Victor'. She agreed for this wedding. She was already prepared her mind for this arranged marriage which is normal in their culture.
It is the beautiful morning; a church in Benila's hometown is decorated with white flowers. Arrangement for the wedding was in hurry. At last the wedding with the oath and promises following by the rituals are over. A huge feast was given for their kith and kin. Main part Benila went to her husband's home for the first time with her dowry, because without dowry there will be no marriage.
Benila was very happy with her new family. Ben Victor was a Fisher man by profession. He goes for fishing in the deep-sea and often returns within fifteen days or in a month. Days passed Benila loved Ben Victor very much. Benila was very much excited when she cooks for her husband, and she was happy when he compliments her. Ben Victor showed his loved by embracing her and by pampering her with his love.
Ben Victor after his wedding he started to go for short-term fishing because he loved to spend more time with his wife, Benila. Their love expanded as the ocean. One day when Benila was working in her kitchen, she felt her vision was becoming blurring within a second she became unconscious. When she opened her eyes, she was already in hospital. Her husband, Ben Victor was holding her hands with tears in his eyes. Benila was too frightened to see her husband crying. When she woke up, he hugged her and told, thank you for your precious gift ' and kissed her on her forehead. Benila guessed it and asked 'Am I pregnant '. Ben Victor nodded, yes. The doctor gave some advices and prescribed for regular check up.
Ben Victor started to do a lot of works in home, and often he denies to go for fishing just to look after her. Months passed, her parents arranged for a baby shower function and took her to their home. It is their culture to send their daughters to their mother's home when they are pregnant. Ben Victor visited his mother in law's home often.
Ben Victor decided to go to fishing for one month again and to come back home before his child was born. Fifteen days passed, he felt that days are moving very slow. Mean while Benila was thinking of Ben she already started to miss him. She felt very sad and burdened in her home.Her mom looked after her, Benila felt very bored and switched on the TV. The weather man announced there would be heavy Storm and cyclone. Benila started to shout at her mother to call her husband back, she turned pale and fainted.
Meanwhile, in the sea it started raining. It was dark in the night, Ben Victor and his friends were asleep. Suddenly a heavy storm struck the boat, the boat smashed at a rock and started drowning. Ben Victor slipped away from the boat into the sea, and his head and his body parts got injured. He and his friends managed to catch some wood pieces and waited for help. They were floating with the wood pieces with hope. They believed the government would send a helicopter or ship to save. They floated with hope for two days in the sea. Ben Victor was too weak as he was already injured. His vision went blurry, he told his final words to his friends to tell sorry to his baby "I love him and I am sorry for leaving without seeing him."He told his lost words and fainted in the sea. Slowly his hands left the wood pieces, and he started drowning. His friends tried to rescue him but they couldn't. After an hour a helicopter came and rescued his friends.
Meanwhile, Benila was suffering with her labour pain in the hospital; beautiful boy baby was born with the huge crying sound. Even though he doesn't know that his father was dead. Benila was waiting for Ben Victor to look at their son. She waited for him and enquired her parents about Ben Victor. Very next day, when she woke up, she watched her husband's picture on the TV displaying as he was dead in that cyclone. His friends came there to tell Ben Victor's last words to Benila; they glanced at her with pain. Benila eyes turned red and filled with tears, and her child was crying loudly... "She told her child, stop crying dear your father will come soon, He loves you very much." Benila know's that her husband was dead, but her heart did not accept the fact.
Benila will live in this world courageously, but no one can replace her loss of her husband. Benila raised her son as a single mother. She dedicated her life to her son. Lived a peaceful life with her son.
