Beyond the skies
It's been almost a year since I left the city or should I say country. I am still not able to convince my self to forget my bitter past.
I haven't seen my family for a long time, staying in California and getting set up a hotel there to forget the pain that was suffocating me. Mansi, dad, dada, dadi , dhruv ,jay, even Monica aunty reminded me daily to eat , drink and breathe. It was because of them and someone else whom I don't even know that I started reliving. Who was she ,I tried to find her everywhere in California but couldn't. Just one glimpse of her, her laughter, her eyes, her playing with children on beach. It spellbounded me , I just stayed rooted on my spot and then she vanished. She was some girl from India no other information.
It was around seven when I reached hotel and saw it was decorated with lights. People were entering hotel and I saw my grandparents greeting everyone but what made me stop midway to go and greet them was my sister standing on her two frets instead of a wheelchair or with crutches. I thought I was hallucinating, then I saw her,the girl of my dreams. Wearing a white and red colour lehenga, a simple bracelet in one hand and a watch in another, simple jhumkas on her ears and a mind blowing smile.
