ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?

I had an amazing childhood. I had lots of friends, went to sleepovers and birthday parties. My best friend was Brittni Kuntz – we used to spend every minute together playing dolls, then dreaming about our fated mates. It all fell apart when I was twelve and I failed to make my first shift. We all knew then that I was nothing more than a simple human being – and not a shifter. One human in a family of shifters. One human in a community of shifters.

I no longer belonged.

I was a freak, an unexplainable anomaly – the human born to two shifters. My parents still love me of course, that has never changed. But for the rest of our, or – their pack, I was no longer one of them. Overnight I lost all of my friends, including Brittni and instantly all of the party invitations dried up. But it didn’t stop with having to eat lunch alone at school because that is when the bullying started. The bullying would have been enough to deal with but the fact that Brittni was the one to instigate it all only made it more painful, especially when she used everything from our years of friendship against me.

My parents attempted to step in and intervene but that only made things worst. Up until that point the harassment had only been verbal and even though the Alpha took Brittni’s side against mine, she only seemed to get angrier with me. Her and her new friends would take every opportunity they could to push me to the ground, kick me or hit me. As a human I don’t heal as quickly as they do, and as shifters they have a lot more strength behind their hits than a normal person does. They beat my ass almost daily for fucking years.

It got worst when Brittni started dating the Alpha’s son, Gideon. Feeling even more empowered with him backing her, Brittni’s attacks on me escalated even further. The night that everything changed I was seventeen and had been enduring this torture for more than five excruciating years. Sitting in our backyard I was mentally counting the days until I could leave for college – my father had promised one way or another, I was going to be leaving – even if the Alpha refused. Enough was enough.

It was still a year away though.

I was so engrossed in my thoughts I didn’t hear Brittni and Gideon enter our yard. I still can’t believe I let my defenses down like that! Gideon’s hand was over my mouth fast, so I didn’t have the chance to scream for my father who was sound asleep just yards away. My shock and horror were so overwhelming that the burning sensation his hand was leaving on my skin was secondary. Brittni’s voice was a vicious hiss in my ear.

“Say a word and I’ll slit your mother’s throat,” my breath freezes in my chest which was exactly the response she wanted. Brittni stands in front of me, her face only inches from mine as she leans onto the bench I’m sitting on. Gideon removed his hand from my mouth, then walked around behind her. As soon as I heard him undo his zipper, I tried to get up to leave but she pinned me in place, forcing me to witness them have sex.

Sex?

With no foreplay or prelude he thrusts into her from behind while she holds me down in front. Her face shows her pleasure as she moans and screams his name, all the while he grunts behind her before finally shouting her name as I’m guessing he orgasms himself. I can’t believe this just happened. They just did that in front of me. That they just made me fucking watch that! The look of horror must have been evident on my face because Brittni slaps me hard at that point, anger clearly written on hers.

“You’re jealous no one will ever fuck you hard like that you fucking mutant! Maybe next time I’ll take pity on you and shove a broom pole up there, just so you know what it feels like,” she smirks as she turns around to kiss Gideon hard. When they break apart, she slaps my cheek several times lightly. “Till next time, mutant,” before her and Gideon left our yard, hand in hand. The horror show that is my life has just come to a climactic peak.

She threatened to rape me.
