Chapter 1

I know I'm not the right one to tell you her story. But still... I am the only one who knows it.

You're probably thinking — they were really close, he was the only one who she could really believe...

The truth is — no. She doesn't even know I read her diary. Maybe I should feel guilty for reading it. And maybe it doesn't matter now, because she's dead.

Dead. It doesn't even sound like a word anymore. Dead, dead, dead... I've heard it so many times since she died. No one could actually believe it. Or they didn't want to believe it.

You may be asking now — who is she? And who are you? Why were you reading her diary? How did you even get her diary?

Don't worry, I'll answer these questions soon. For now you need to know only two things — she is the dead girl, and I'm her killer.

It all begun one rainy, foggy day, on Lyra Dawn's highschool for special children.

Special. How special? — you may ask. And 'special children's' parents will say — intelligent, mature and perfect kind of special.

Just a reminder — that is not true. Not even close to the truth. 'Special' actually means problematic on this school.

And 'children' means 'people who belong to hospital — right onto psychiatry. There are two types of 'children' in this school. One - gamblers and psychopaths, and two... There's actually no second group. Because there was only one person who doesn't clasify the first category. And that person was — surprise! — her.

People who know our school's secret usually think we are there to be... cured. That the teachers want to help us with our gambling problems and genius but psyhopathic minds.

Again, not even close to the truth. I honestly think the teachers don't mind what we do. During classes we are a normal school, but after...

There is only one after school club. It doesn't have any name, what would it be for anyways? It's the only place where we can show who we really are. Everything is allowed - ok, maybe not everything, but most things are.

You can play russian roulette if you want, or bet all of your parents' money. It's allowed. Surprisingly, no one except the students knows this yet. And no one could possibly find out anything what's happening in here.

There was only one person who could — and now she's dead. What a pity...

How to get to Lyra Dawn's high school for special children:

1. Be extremly intelligent, have good grades

2. Be problematic

3. Pretend you belong into one of these groups
