Golden wolves are skipped over by the moon goddess. They don't get mates that's why they are extinct. If a golden wolf does decide to mate and mark a wolf who already has a mate then that girl will die. The only way a golden wolf can break that curse is if the girl loves that golden wolf back. Most girls already have mates that's why they are cursed. That's what my grandma used to tell me when she was still alive.

I feel bad for Golden wolves but honestly, I wouldn't mind if I was one. I mean look at the guy I'm destined to be with for the rest of my life. He doesn't even love me. I'd rather be cursed than to spend the rest of my life in a loveless mate bond.

I pull my car into the driveway of Felicity's house. It was a medium-sized house that was surrounded by woods. It looks newly painted so they must have been working on the house before I arrived. There are two houses on either side of Felicity and no more insight. I don't like secluded places like this but I'm a werewolf so I'm going to have to deal with it.

My eyes wander to the dark blue house next to ours as I step out of the car and my eyes meet the most beautiful hazel ones. I don't know how I spotted the jet black-haired, toned guy staring at me through a window on the second floor of his house. My breath hitched in my throat as his eyes scanned me up and down. A dark feature on his face as he does. My body feels on fire beneath his gaze.

His perfectly fitted dark clothes that match his dark aura are gorgeous. My wolf is screaming danger and for me to stay away but she's the one that got me into that loveless mate bond. I lick my bottom lip and brush my hair out of my face and behind my ear.

"Delilah Honey." She hugs me but I keep my arms at my side. I don't know this woman. I was disappointed to see that the guy from before was now gone. I push Felicity back and her smile drops. "I-I'm sorry. I got a little too excited." She smiles again.

"I'll have David help you with your bags." She motions for me to follow her into the house. I had to walk up some steps to get to the porch and then into the house.

The inside of the house looked different from what I'm used to. I can only see the living room area. My mot- Felicity seems to like her furniture bright colors. Orange, light brown, and white. The walls and pillows on the couch are orange and the couch is white with light brown rugs under it and brown pillows to match the orange ones.

The bright light outside made it look like the perfect couple home. A man walks up to Felicity and kisses her on the cheek. "This is David." Felicity beams and I can tell they have been together for a long time.

"Is he your boyfriend," I say in a bored tone.

"Yes. He lives next door."

"I'm glad you seem to have found happiness while my dad was suffering for all this time," I say in a resentful tone. I stride past him as David and Felicity give each other weary looks.

I didn't come here to get close to Felicity. For the next three months, I'm not going to come out of whatever room they put me in. If I do then I'll just leave the house without saying a word to them.

"I'll show you to your room." She walks past me and up a flight of stairs. I follow after her. A long walk down a very wide hallway and we finally stop in front of a door. I look inside the very bright room. A bed in one corner and a big window next to it. The blinds are open and I can see into the neighbor's house. There's a large white dresser with a few pairs of clothes and a lot of hangers inside.

"I didn't want to decorate it too much."

David walks up the stairs with my suitcase and I take it from him. "I know I wasn't a good mother." She sighs "But I'm here now."

At that, she and David walk away and I'm left with my thought. "How do I make my days go by faster.
