Chapter One - Amanda
I can hear them yelling next door.
“You stupid Bitch! Go to hell”
“I am already there no thanks to you!!”
I wish they would just break up already. Every night is the same. I come home from my night shift at the ER and they are already yelling. I mean it’s literally 10 a.m. Don’t they ever get along?
Soon enough though I will be moving! In less than 24 hours I will have a brand new home, a new job, a new life.
Grabbing everything I can I start packing up my car to leave this damn place.
As I pull up to my new house I start to cry. Maybe finally I can stop running from my past. Maybe everything will be alright.
It’s been a week and I’m mostly unpacked. My first shift at the hospital begins in less than an hour. I’m so nervous my hands are shaking. But I couldn’t be happier.
