Preface
My reputation as a good a Christian girl is something I‘ve always been proud of.
Since my baptism I looked the same, wearing my Tiffany's sterling silver cross that was gifted to me, no make-up, and my thick brown hair up in a pony-tail.
Simple. Plain. Ordinary.
Keeping my good reputation on a small college campus was important, not just for my job as a resident assistant, also known as a RA, but for me. I enjoyed being known as a good person. And I liked being liked. I was never popular but I hadn’t been put in a position to be judged.
I've learned 3 things:
1. I’m not as good as I think I am.
2. I'm judgmental.
3. I’m a horrible person.
