Chapter 1: The unusual start

I woke up in the morning, feeling too elated to turn 18. As I got out of bed, going to the bathroom, there was a knock on my bedroom door.
Mom walked in with a present in her hand. I ran to her, hugged her tight, and with a smile she handed over her present to me. I excitedly opened the present, and couldn't think of an appropriate reaction on unwrapping a small pink razor.
I turned to mom, she had a stern rection this time. She asked me to shave my private parts right now before I get down to meet everyone. I was shocked. We had never had a conversation about the private parts, or even relationships for that matter, except when it was made clear to me that I was not allowed to date any guy till I was permitted to do so, and thus, a virgin me.
Leaving me in a trance, mom went down and asked me to join them in not more than a hour, as Uncle Derek was to join us for breakfast.
Uncle Derek was my absolute favourite in the family, and he always gave me the best of presents and treated me with utmost care.
Anxious about what was to come further, I picked up the razor and entered the bathroom.
