"honey come downstairs, dinner is ready " Olivia's mother's voice boomed through the house , Olivia looked up from the book , she was reading , in which she was completely absorbed in , despite of not wanting to go downstairs and continue reading the story which was super interesting, she groaned and took her red bookmark which was decorated prettily with little stars on it from the floor on which it was lying casually and put it on the book , so that she could find that part easily , , reading was one of her favourite pastimes , hours seem to vanish into nothing as her mind seemed to convert the words into images ,

she mumbled to herself frustrated that she had to go downstairs " coming mom in a minute " She yelled back as she placed her book back on the desk , her desk was neatly decorated by thick nova piling up in a long row , her cute light bulb on the desk gleamed dimly as she turned it off and headed ,down the stairs one at a time , she remembered to be careful with the stairs because once she had tumbled down the stairs and painfully landed on her leg twisting it in a weird position , she was rushed to the hospital and was treated accordingly to her injuries ,

halfway down the stairs her nose was filled with delicious smell of spaghetti and meatballs, she smiled inwardly thinking about the delicious meal , " I made your favourite spaghetti and meatballs today sweetheart " , oh one more thing her mother smiled and handed her a small blue package , she curious ripped open the coverage and took out the blue dress adorned with shiny pearls , Olivia's face little up with happiness as she smiled , barely being able to contain her happiness she hugged her mother tight " thanks you so much mom you are the best , this is the dress i wanted for so long " , she squeezed her mom harder in her excitement , " come on oli you are now going to squash me " She said playfully teasing her daughter and pinched her nose , she finally let go of her mother and sat back on the chair

she started to dig in her meal which tasted delicious , she happily gobbled up her meal " oli be careful the way you are gobbling up your food it seems like you are gonna eat the plate whole too " , her brother smirked teasing his sister playfully , which made Olivia slightly irritated , she felt like she wanted to punch him straight onto his stupid grin , " stop teasing me for once in your life chase " She said her tone clearly displaying her disappointment, " oh and why should I do that , a day cant go without annoying my sister " he said breaking into a wide grin , oli playfully threw him a punch in his stomach , which chase returned to her with a bit more force making her groan " ouch it hurts , " She said on which chase mimicked her playfully " did I hurt my dear sister too much " he said with a mocking tone , his tone made her kick him softly under the table.

Stop it, you two! Stop fighting like a one year old " their dad said, his voice echoing on the hallways , annoyance clear in his tone , . "He started i dad " Oli said. "No, she started it," her brother protested. " oh stop you two weird gremlin stop fighting or i will take a rope and hang both of yoyr head together on the wall l," her dad said while eating his spaghetti. Oli grumbled to herself while she resumed on to eating spaghetti from her plate .

"Wow, another wonderful news in this exquisitely wonderful city," her dad said sarcastically and continued to read his newspaper. "Which news, Dad?" Oli asked curiously. " its just a kidnappingof a 13 and 16 year old who were on their way home from a party of their friend ," he said and sighed while comrinuing his statement, . " kids these days are so reckless attending parties without informing anyone and then getting kidnapped worring their parents sick " Oli quietly kept quiet munching on her spaghetti and wished that Dad wouldn't stop her from going to the party tonight.

She ate her pasta in silence when suddenly her dad kept the newspaper aside and looked at her. "Hey, Oli, I am sorry, but you can't go to the party tonight. The neighborhood is dangerous what if you get kidnapped what would we do then " Oli glared at him her face full of rage , Her friend's party was the only thing she had been waiting for so long , she necer asked her parents to go to parties , it was only this time and now she had to miss it. "No, Dad, I am going! Nothing will happen to me," she snapped. "I said no young miss you are staying , you would have to listen to me if you wamna stat in this house ," her dad said strictly.

" kids these days " her dad grumbled as she kept munching on his food , " be a little less harsh on our daughter honey " her mom said and sighed as she didn't dare defy her husband either and knew he only wanted her daughter to be sade

oli dropped her fork, slammed her hand on the table angrily and stormed her way out of the kitchen, and went to her room. She checked her phone and found that she already had a bunch of missed messages from her friend. She glanced at the clock to see that it was already time and if she had to attend the party she woyld have to lwave now , She started to text her back that she could not come to her party. She knew her friend would be upset, as she really wanted her to come.

Suddenly, Oli had a crazy idea. She thought, why not go to the party without telling anyone no one will know and she will happily be able to attend the party ? Not wasting any time, she quickly began clawing at her wardrobe, searching for something to wear. Then, she remembered the dress her mom gave her today. She quickly put on the dress, applied some makeup, and lay in her bed, waiting for everyone to go to sleep

After about 40minutes and making sure the hallway is dark and everyone is in their room , , she quickly got up from her bed , after double checking again that everyone has been asleep , she slowly opened her window and climbed her way out , as the building was only one storey high , she didn't have much trouble getting out silently and landing straight on the soft grass on their backyard, she opened the door and went out before closing it behind her , " did you sneak your way out again " Claire her friend's voice boomed behind her, olivia had already messaged her friend to pick her up from the house and explained her plan to her beforehand , Claire sighed silently as she drove the car on their way to the party

little did olivia know her world would change forever from that day on and she would never get to see her parents again
