Prologue
ONCE upon a time, there lived a happy couple living inside the forest heart, in the kingdom of Far Far away. Merlin Quinn handsome, fearless, kind and loving husband of Ashianna Arquivos Quinn smart, caring, beautiful and is loved by everyone in the kingdom.0
They were so happy it was like a dream, but dreams do have an end the news spreaded like wild fire the lovely Ashianna could not bare a child. Merlin was so devastated he ran away unto the deepest side of the forest, thinking of a way to help her wife. So he ran and ran until he saw an old lady staring at him.
"Would you like to take some apple my child?" the old lady offered to him. He smiled but slowly shakes his head.
"Do you by any chance know someone who could help me madame?" he politely asked. The old lady just smiled and gave him the basket full of apples.
He was questionally looking at the old lady, why giving him the apple. The lady just smiled and disappeared right in front of him. He was still in confusion as he walked back to the direction of their house inside the forest. There he saw his wife sitting at the balcony of their house looking from a far. He slowly walked to her and hugged from behind.
"Everything will be fine my love..." he said it with a low voice, trying to comfort her wife from the news.
"I'm so sorry Merlin... I've failed you as your wife... I couldn't bare your child.. " tears run down her beautiful face and it pains him to see her cry.
"My love it's okay... You still haven't failed me.. As long as you are with me.. I will still love you whatever might happen..." he said to her as he buried he's face on her shoulder.
"I love you Merlin" he slowly raised his head up to level their faces, and then he slowly kissed her passionately, tenderly until their kiss went deep, his wife still seating on the balcony while he is standing on her back. He scooped her off the balcony and walked without breaking their kiss. He nibbled and sucked his wifes lips tasting and savouring it, he didn't know when did they reached their bed but all he cared about was the burning sensation that he felt. He wanted to make love to his wife, he wants her to feel his love for her, he doesn't care anymore if she could bare his child or not. That's what was inside his head until they both reached their climax.
"I love you Ashianna" he whispered as he closed his eyes.
Ashianna's P.O.V
I gently comb his hair with my fingers as I watched him soundly sleeping right next to me.
"How could i ever deserve a man like you.. " I spoke to him as if he was hearing my words.
I quickly get off the bed and gathered all my clothing and quickly wore it because of the thirst and hunger I am feeling, so I decided to go down the kitchen to get myself something to eat.
I immediately saw a basket full of apple on the table and I skeptically inspected the fruit.
"The most suspicious of all fruits.." I said eyeing the apples, I just shrugged my shoulders and took one apple and bite it.
I heard a crunching sound as I took a bite and the magical feeling of how the sweetness it taste took over my tongue and went through out to my body. I felt something on my stomach and to my disbelief I shouted at the top of my lungs.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! " shock and disbelief is drawn to my face because of the bump on my stomach. Like I am pregnant for a 7 months old baby!
"Ashianna! What!-" Merlin didn't get to finish his words when he saw me, shock was what I saw on his eyes.
"Ho- wha- whe- the-" he stuttered, what is happening to me? Why- then I looked at the fruit that I am holding, I quickly let go of it as if it was poisonous.
"What happened here? What is that?" finally he spoke, I innocently looked at him suspecting the apple, maybe the apple is cursed!
"It's the apple! I just took one bite and then puff I have this! And I think I'm cursed! Please don't look at me... I'm unworthy" I said as I uncontrollably cried.
Merlin quickly hugged me tight as I went down on my knees crying. Now I am regretting on eating that fruit.
"Hush my love... Don't think of it as a curse... This might be the Gods way of giving us a blessing... In a weird but good way..."I slowly looked at him and then shifted my gaze to my belly. Yeah... Maybe it is a blessing. I looked up to the man infront of me and smiled, he also smiled at me in return.
"Cursed or a blessing... This baby inside is our child and we'll take good care of her" I am sure.. This thing inside me is a girl.
"How can you say that it's a she? " Merlin asked me his eyebrows perking up.
"I just feel it.. " I said to him, then I slowly stand up from kneeling and I somehow felt like I'm gonna pee. I slowly walked my way to the nearest rest room and was about to go inside when my stomach hurts.
"M-merlin... It hurts.. " my plead became a whisper but when the excruciating pain continues a loud shriek came out from my mouth.
"M-Merlin! I think I'm giving birth! " I started to take slow and heavy breathing to ease the pain, just like what I read on books about pregnancy. Merlin came rushing towards me, sweating cold and looked so nervous. He quickly scooped me and carried me to our room and gently put me on our bed.
"Wait there love I'm gonna call the doctor! " then he ran outside the house to get the doctor, I screamed as the pain continues, I didn't think that giving birth would be this painful! And I never thought that I would be giving birth today! Just minutes ago I just ate an apple and I was pregnant in an instant then minutes later on I'm already giving birth! Things happend so fast and I am not so prepared!

I sang to calm my nerves down because of the pain I am having. I took a deep and slow breath and sang the next line of the song.

THIRD PERSON's P.O.V0
Merlin couldn't help but curse to himself, he was the main reason why Ashianna ate the apple, if he didn't bring those apple home her wife wouldn't eat it.
"Damn!" his grip tightened against the reins as he whip it hard on the horses back.

He quickly got off the horse when he saw the place, he ran inside like he was being chased by demons. He was heaving but he did not dare to stop, his wife is giving birth and she needed his aid! He smashed the door open and saw the doctor talking to its patient.
"Doc I need your help! My wife's giving birth! Please come with me to our house! " he saw how the doctors eye went wide because of the news, without asking the doctor quickly called the nurses, got up from her chair and walked in a fast phase.
"I'll explain about it later! First we need to go to our house! Her water broke and I rushed here!"

When they arrived at their house he ran to his wife like his life's depending on her.
"I'm here love... The doctor's here" he whispered those words Ashianna had stop singing and let go of the shriek she's been holding.
"Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" while the doctor, took her position and opened her legs wide.
"Crowning! Ashianna please push none stop when I say push, now PUSH! "
Her wifes grip from his hand tighten as she pushed their baby out.
"Push! "
"Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! "
"Mrs. Quinn one final big push! Push! " the room was in silence as his wife went unconscious of labor, but it was filled again with a babies cry.
"It's a girl Mr. Quinn.... Congratulations" the doctor smiled at him, the nurses quickly assessed the doctor and cut the babies umbilical cord, cleaned the baby then wrap it with a clothe and gave it to him.

He walked to his wifes side, within his arms is an angel sleeping. He was happily smiling when he hold his wifes hand which was cold as ice. The overwhelming joy was changed into fear.
"Doc! " he called out.
It can't be, please let it not be what he was thinking. He cried as he watched how the doctor revived her wife, but to no avail they were too late. He cried on his knees as he softly embrace their baby in his arms. To his shock a little hand was caressing his face, he first saw the babies Amethysts like eyes sparkling and he was like hypnotized by it, suddenly he stopped crying.

"Excuse me Mr. Quinn... May I ask what's the babies name? " the nurse asked him holding a notepad and pen.
"Precious Amethysts Quinn.." when he said the name the baby in his arms rejoiced and clapped it's little hands as if liking her name, he felt a little joy but the pain was still there.
"I'm sorry for your lost Mr. Quinn but we did our best to save your wife.... And I know it is not the good time to ask about how she got pregnant... But How? We all knew she couldn't bare a child.." he felt a lump on his throat unable to answer the question. He swallowed the imaginary lump on his throat and spoke.
"I don't know... She said it was the A-apple" he said with his lips trembling, he felt something hot on his cheek and wiped it, he was crying and he didn't noticed it.
"Apple? What apple? " the doctor curiously asked him.
"It was given to me by an old lady I meet in the woods... I was trying to find-" his words were cut of by the doctor.
"Can it be?" confusion was written all over his face by the doctors words.
"What do you mean?" but the doctor just shrugged and went into a deep thought.
After 1week
He looked to his wifes face as he remembered what she said a long time ago. She quickly stood up and gave their daughter to the nurse.
"I need to fix my wife's burial.. Please take care of my daughter for a while" he said as he walked out of the room.

After 1week
"We are all gathered here today to bid our farewells to Mrs. Ashianna Arquivos Quinn born on May 7th 1962 and was declared dead last December 31 1985" they are at their garden, it was what his wife wanted, to be buried at their garden.
He felt a lump on his throat as he witnessed his wifes burial, he took a glance on their daughter and it is still a wonder to him why amethysts eyes are purple.
Every person that they knew from the village attended the burial, and everyone their was asking how did Ashianna bore a child while they all knew she can't, but he was still not ready to tell everyone on how it happened and they did understand him.
"I promise you Ashianna, I will raise our child as kind and smart just like you are... I promise" he said as the sun sets.
