“What? This guy wants to meet me?” Her eyebrows furrowed in disbelief of what her friend is telling her.

This guy? Seriously? Leonardo Choi is one hell of a popular guy in this school, why would he suddenly want to meet out of nowhere?

On a side note, this burger is really delicious, I should probably come back here some time...

She looked up above to check in the name of this street food ‘Cheon’s Burger’.

They should expand their business or at least make it into a fast food restaurant, they’ll make it big.

“Ya! This is no ordinary meeting, you just got transferred here in the countryside all the way from Seoul! It’s not questionable for this kingka to meet someone from the city, especially for a beauty like you.” Minhae elbowed her and sneakily grinned but she chose to shrug it off.

“Oh come on, Yonghwa! I ditched my friends to hang out with you ’cuz I know you’re new and all alone here.”

“What the hell? Then go away, you don’t have to accompany me just because we’re cousins.” I rolled my eyes and stomped off heading towards the school for the resume of classes.

Minhae quickly got on her side and clung on her arm, “Don’t be so cold, hm? This is why you have no boyfriend since birth and no friends to stay by your side.” Yonghwa stopped on her tracks and glared at her friend, “Sorry...” Minhae sighed as she bit her lip, “I’m just concerned, y’know... You were sent here because of that unfair--”

“Ya.” Yonghwa coldly called out, “Enough is enough.” She said before she continued her walk. Minhae then clung on her arm once again, “Sorry, okay? Cheer up now!” How stubborn.

“Where’s Hwang Yonghwa?” Yonghwa closed her eyes and sighed heavily as she stopped from fixing her things.

Are you serious? On my first day? Can this day get any worse?

“Told you, he’s one hell of a persistent guy.” Minhae whispered to her. Everyone turned to look at Yonghwa and that made him known of her presence. “You’re the girl, come out.” He smiled ravishingly, enough to make the girls fall for his mask.

“Hello, I’m sure you’ve heard of me. I’m Leonardo Choi.”

Huh... I see why his name is like that. Either he’s living up to that name or his parents saw how he would be like in the future so they gave him that name. He may be really popular for being this courageous, how I wish I could think of him like that but right now, my first impression of him is

Thick-faced

As thick as a lion’s fur.

“Yonghwa.” She responded curtly. “I’ll cut to the chase since I don’t like beating around the bush - date me.”

Again with that confident smile. Somehow, it’s irritating for someone like him to be this confident. My temperature is rising from this infuriation.

She crossed her arm and scoffed.

“Everything that has happened in your life must have gotten your way for you to be confidently asking me out like this.” She smiled back at him while he remained to put up that front, “Hmm... Is it obvious? Haha, I’ve never really lost and it’ll be unfortunate if this will be the first...”

He knows it from what I said... That he’ll surely get rejected but how can he keep up with that smile? Truly annoying.

I hate this type of people the most,

Too confident that everything will go their way because they’ve never felt what it feels like to lose,

But somehow,

He doesn’t feel like the type to be petty over a little thing,

Unlike me...

Heh. was I jealous that he’s someone who’s the complete opposite of me?

That makes this situation even more irritating than it already is.

“Let’s do it.” Yonghwa said to which his eyes widened in surprise,

“Let’s date.”
