chapter 1
"get ready, someone is coming to meet you" my step father said i nodded in response and he left my room. he was the worst man in my life. my mom got married to him when i was 6. after my mom died when i was 10, he treated me like a shit . he used to beat me a lot, i was not even allowed to make friends. my step father was a mafia king and a very dangerous man if i tried to do anything against his will he would kill me .
"hey are you okay?" asked john
he is my only friend in this world. he worked for my father. he had also helped me a lot to save me from my father by risking his life.
"yeah" i said
"why was your dad here?" he asked
"he told me to get ready as someone is coming to meet me" i replied
"what are you doing here" i asked him
"actually there is a good news" he said while showing me a picture of a tall man , he was handsome and had a cute face.
"i am in love" he blushed
"wow john i am so happy for you " i said smiling
"now i got it where were you busy these days " i said with a smirk on my face
he blushed. it was the first time after his last breakup that i saw him he was really happy and i was happy for him too.
" well i'll be going, your father has given me lot of works to do " he chukled

i got ready , i wore baby pink gown which was simple yet beautiful ,i applied pink lipstick and did a light make up.
"your dad is calling you mam" one of our maid said
i went downstairs when i saw a man i was shocked. i froze "Robert"
"hello princess". he said
i was not able to move he would be the last man i would want to meet. he was just like my father he was cruel.
"hi" i said forcefully
"you are getting married to him next week" my father said
"what"??
my head was spinning i was not able to digest whatever the hell was going on after that everything got faded and i passed out
i woke up to see my father standing in front of me
"i don't want to get married to him" i said with tears in my eyes
" don't you dare go against me, you will get married to him and that's final" he shouted and went out of my room
i started crying but there was no chance i was going to marry him. i called john and asked him for his help , i told him everything and i told him to meet me tonight .
i heard foot steps coming towards my room i knew he was john i opened the door before he knocked and pulled him inside
"so what's the plan"??he asked
"i'm going to run away" i said
he was shocked he asked if i was sure but i said there is no chance i am going to stay here
"what should i do"? he asked
"just arrange a car for me , and some money, as fast as possible "
"okay, pack your bags i"ll be waiting down"
i nodded and started packing bags i knew it is the best time to get out of the house when no one is around me . my father never bothered for me as i always did what he said but no more.
i went down to where john was waiting for me. he took me to his car and drove to some distance and brought me infront of small apartment and told me that we will stay here tonight.
"where will you go"?he asked
"california" i said
i wanted to go away from new york i asked him to get the tickets tomorrow because i can't take risk as my father will do anything to find me.
"you know he will find you"he said
" nope , he can't " i said
"i have a plan, for that i need your help"i said
what? he asked
"i"ll disguise my self as a man, just get me a wig , some of your clothes and ya i need all the paperworks to be done" i said with a smirk on my face
john was looking at me as i was mad or something but i already made up my mind.
