(I hugged my worn out jacket to my skinny and frail body as I sauntered through the hallway of "Vienwood Highschool". I had surprisingly escaped from my step dad's wrath after I prepared his breakfast and placed it in the fridge.)
(I make a beeline to my locker, which was on the third floor. Vienwood Highschool was a public school in the heart of Toronto, Canada. It was apparently my first day of school.....and any normal teenager would be excited to make new friends, but guess what...I'm nothing near "Normal").
(I was nothing near excited, to say that I was devastated was an understatement. It was the beginning of another miserable year of school without "Xena"..... luckily, it was the last.)
(When I finally found my locker,I was relieved. I had only about ten minutes to get to class.... according to my class schedule. I typed in my locker combination and it sprang open with a clicking sound. I brought out my Chemistry textbook from my bag...as it was my first period, then I put my bag and my other stuff into the locker and shut it close with a bang).
"Hi!" An overly excited voice says from my side.
(I turn to face the person slowly.... dreading to have a conversation with her.)
(Standing beside me is a petite redhead girl...she had a wide smile on her face as she held a pile of books in her left hand).
"Hey" I say with a dull tone, hopefully my lack of enthusiasm will give her a hint to walk away.....but she surprises me by smiling even wider than she already was.
"You must be the new girl that everyone is talking about!" She chirps in, bouncing on her feets.....gosh she's just too hyper for my liking.
(Wait...what?. Why on Earth am I the subject of discussion in this school.....I just got here, it has barely been an hour....or two.)
"Yeah...I just got here" I eye her warily....she seems a bit sly. here…
